WOMEN

Women are said to be more mature than men and also less selfish.

The short version is...

Both males and females are by nature endowed with personality aspects of God... albeit through our fallen sin natures poor representations of it. And while God is not at variance with himself, we are for the simple fact that we possess unique aspects of his personality and not both.

The antagonistic brawls and outlandish differences between the genders is due to the fallen-ness of our natures.

We can learn affinity with the other gender. But it is a gross evil to try to become the other gender. And fallen human society has been trying to make men of women and women of men for quite some time.

But it is natural not to understand the opposite gender.
The highlighted test.

Does that mean that the fall kind of made men physically stronger than women? I believe God really made some significant differences in the two that the fall didnt even change. you notice how Adam became wonderfully poetic when he first saw Eve. He did some awesome poem: bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh.
And I know in order to keep appearing pleasing to Adam... Eve had to do the mirror thing: several minutes on a makeover. And Adam was kind of woooooooow! she looks amazing.

Grandma will attest to this. heheheheheheh

You will spend about half an hour on makeover when that cute guys giraffenecks you and is serious. ;-)
If I liked the guy and he wanted me to try makeup, I'd be open to try it. It's an awful lot of trouble to go to, though, and I look fine without it.

And fools believe that nonsense, but I don't.

As to women being more mature:
What is mature about destroying your own home by needling and griping at your husband over little stuff?
What is mature about a need to ALWAYS be right AND have the last word?
---I've seen women in my own family do the above---

As to women being less selfish:
I might give you some leeway on this one, but I'm not sure. Women CAN be giving, but I've noticed that they tend to keep a scorecard over it.

I don't understand the over-makeup-movement today.
THis is Laruen - which version do YOU prefer? For me, the girl in glasses without the over-the-top war paint...

So, actually...why do women behave the way they behave and reason the way they reason?
Why?
Well, I'll presuppose you're talking about the stereotypical "cattty" behavior that women are believed to exhibit.
There is great pressure on women to be non-confrontational- so when a problem arises, in order to "be nice" they have to be sneaky. IT STINKS! But, if a woman decides to forget all that nonsense and be confrontational (just like a man would be)- she's labeled as a...well, you know... So either way, we're seen as inferior to men. Gotta love that double standard!

By 'fine' you mean comfortable and okay?

I guess, yeah. I'd rather be comfortable. Though if I'm going somewhere I make a little more of an effort, only a bit though. Mainly I just don't want to look like a slob.

Celebrities won't like to hear this. They are living in bondage.

Yup.

Yesterday I was just wearing a favorite t-shirt and jeans. I had barely done more than brush my hair and teeth before I was out the door. Saw my reflection and I actually thought I looked pretty nice. I don't normally think that.
Generally, I've got nothing to prove to and nobody I'm trying to impress, so I don't really bother too much with looks. (Except in job hunting, that's a different story.) Even if I like a guy, in getting him to "notice" me I don't think I'd resort to makeup. If he doesn't like my natural face, then what's the point? lol Though like I said earlier, if I was in a relationship and the guy was interested in me trying light makeup, I'd probably be open to trying it.

Well as we are talking about what looks good on a woman, then i have to say the less tattoos she has and the less body piercings she has are for me more attractive.
We live in an age where nothing is hidden, nothing is alluring, regarding the way a lot of women, mostly secular, but not not always, tend to present themselves.
Its more of an in your face approach to leave nothing to the imagination.
And regarding makeup, if you asked me what i like.... i like eyeliner on "her".

I agree. Eventually, he is going to see her without it and then what?

Celebrities have to do what they have to do for their professions. They are before cameras, on stage, etc.. It's very different.
When women let magazine covers dictate to them is when men get drawn into false expectations. It's our fault for playing the game.

Have we ever seen a video on how these people get dressed up and the amount of energy involved, the series of reworks and these and those?

The people who want to do that stuff probably do look up videos. I don't really care, and looking up videos like that overwhelms me more than it helps me. lol

Pastor Mike MacIntosh Horizon Christian Fellowship San Diego California said it like this. "Adam was not really naming Eve when he first saw her... but rather he was saying 'whoa! Man!' because her beauty."

My brother, JimD, is the real comedian in the family. He turned 50 today. In his response email he did several Henny Youngman one liners. I especially liked the one about not playing rock paper scissors when he was a kid since all they had were rocks in those days... LOL

Imagining the look on his face when he saw Eve....same woman that messed his day up
