Hi,
I have been in and out of network marketing and online marketing for around 20 years. I designed a network marketing company from the ground up, have set recruitment records and so on. As such, I believe that I do have more insight into the industry than most.
It is unfortunate, but most of the industry is not viable for many reasons that the man on the street never gets to hear about, because it is not in the interest of the companies doing the promoting to let the public know how the game is really played. I am saddened to say, that in my opinion, much of what takes place out there is nothing more than a blatant con, which ultimately hurts hundreds of thousands of people and an industry that could work if done properly and ethically.
Marketing campaigns are expertly scripted to make you see what they want you to see, but not what you need to see. As a rule, these companies are not designed to make people at the bottom rich. They are designed to make the few at the top rich. This is inevitably at the cost of thousands of hopefuls, who will be used to achieve this goal.
In addition, you have the sharks that prey on people's ignorance. As an example I saw a campaign that said something like, 'If a college student could make $20,000(?) in two weeks so can you!'
'Wow! That's amazing! If this kid can do it so can I!' say the masses and they part with their money. What they don't know and what the promoters failed to tell them is that the kid is a professional marketer who teams up with other professional marketers who have truly massive mailing lists that you, I and the masses do not have. Did they lie? No. They just didn't tell you what you needed to know. So the masses buy into the 'con' thinking that they have a good chance to succeeed, when the reality is that they are virtually doomed to fail from the start.
As I have said it saddens me when I see such practices, because they just damage the industry and destroy what could be a good thing for everyone. There probably are good opportunities out there, but one needs to be careful. Don't take what promoters tell you at face value. Look below the surface and do your home work first.
I've written a free report on the subject that I hope will help people from falling for the tricks and the traps out there. I will happily share it with anyone who is interested. You can PM me if you want a copy.
I hope that helps in some way. 8-)
