Working Christmas / Christmas Dinner

Hey,

Anyone else working christmas?

Also what dinner are you waiting to come home too or making? or what is your family tradition for christmas dinner?

Good Morning or afternoon in Norway :)

I will not be working a job on Christmas but will be preparing Christmas dinner. I usually have standing rib roast with yorkshire pudding, but will be doing a more traditional dinner this year. Ham, potato salad, baked beans, green bean casserole and dinner rolls. And red velvet cake and many other goodies for desert.

There is a widower at our church that we invited to have dinner with us so he would not be alone...

So working, plenty. Your plans in your country?

This year is my first proper Christmas break. Previously, I've either been on call, working between Christmas and New Year or having to get ready to do a 12 hour nightshift starting at 7pm. This year I've been off since Thursday 20th and not back in until 7th January. My fiance and I are having Christmas together alone and then visiting the respective families.

I'll be working at school then writing articles for clients in the afternoon / evening:crying. However Thayanee has bought some "farang" foods including Giant freshwater prawns to add to the "essential Christmas supplies" my sister sent up from Oz.:)
Also downloaded a copy of Jesus (the movie) in Thai for Thayanee and anyone else to watch. So all in all looking forward to a great celebration of His Birth.:nod
Blessings.

Very nice all,

Certainly have a lot of different excellent christmas dinners US, thailand and Norway. I'm working up until 4PM in Norway then going home to spend the day with my wife, she is making turkey :D In norway the traditional food for christmas is turkey, ribs of pork and the infamous Lutefisk (not recommended :lol)

@Grazer
12hour shift? wow, now thats commendable. I hope you get paid overtime for that though. I certainly will not complain about my hours now :)

God Bless you all

This is the first year in a looong time that I won't be working on Christmas. I got off this morning and don't have to go back until Wednesday. For dinner we will have the traditional meal: spring sausage, cheese, crackers, and sparkling cider :)

Only doing my paper route in the morning, then coming home to get a wink or two before getting up before the kids to put some of their presents together. The wife is planning baked french toast for breakfast. Not sure what she has planned for lunch/dinner (linner?). Probably going to Christmas morning service, then back home to hang with the family.

Hi BornAgain:

Hope the meal arrangements went well with you guys. Yes, we kind of did something similar with someone from our church.

I'm sure you guys have been having a great day.

Blessings.

Unlikely unfortunately. Due to current circumstances its looking like it won't be until 2015 when she finishes university
