Bible Study Works of the Law and Good WOrks - part 2

Tell me, have you ever seen anybody that is dead do anything.
Who teaches you to come up with such absurd nonsense responses?
Did I suggest that you are some kind of zombie?
In your use of Luke as basis for "church doctrine", you fail to see Luke for the reason it was written.
More nonsense.
Did you never read 2Ti 3:16?
Here. Read it.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable FOR DOCTRINE,...

And, PLEASE, just once, answer the questions put to you instead of dodging and running away from the answers.

hello Jim Parker, dirtfarmer here

I have no problem with 2Timothy 3:16. It does not nullify 2 Timothy 2:15 that tells us we are to rightly divide the word of truth. If we go by your claim that "all scripture is profitable for doctrine", then how do you apply Leviticus 3:2, " And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:" Are we to still bring a peace offering without blemish before the Lord to the door of the tabernacle? What about the Sabbath( seventh day) are we in the Church to still observe Sabbath keeping, or is Christ our Sabbath? What about when Jesus commanded the twelve in Matthew 10:5-7 to not go into the way of the Gentiles but to go the lost sheep of the house of Israel and preach the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Are we still under that same command? Is this answer enough?

Are we to still bring a peace offering without blemish before the Lord to the door of the tabernacle?

Really?? You really asked that question???

Are you under the old covenant or the new covenant?

If you are a Jew under the old covenant then bring your sacrifice.

If you are a Christian then Christ was your sacrifice.

Maybe you should just stick to farming dirt.

I am not the one who posted 2 Timothy 3:16 and stated that "all scripture is for doctrine". Maybe you should try farming dirt.

NO. You're the one who asked the totally absurd question, "Are we to still bring a peace offering without blemish before the Lord to the door of the tabernacle?"
That is what my response addressed.

You are the one that stated " all scripture" is profitable for doctrine. Is Leviticus 3:2 not part of scripture and if it is part of scripture, then according to your interpretation of 2 Timothy 3:16, it is profitable for doctrine.

But, if you are "rightly dividing the word of truth", you can know that doctrine can't come from all scripture, but that all scripture can be used for instruction in righteousness, or correction, and also reproof. Scripture was written to 3 types or classes of people. In 1 Corinthians the 3 types or classes are mentioned:
1 Corinthians 10:32, " Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God."
