World Series 2009!

I said it to start and I'll say it again... Yanks in 6.

BTW, Vince, who is telling you your baseball history?

2001 - Yanks lost a back and forth series 4-3 to the D-Backs.
2002 - Yanks were not in the Fall Classic. Angels beat the Giants in 2002.
2003 - Yanks back into Fall classic but Lost to Marlins, and for the money card anti-yanks fans, The Marlin bought a World Series team both times they won it and then dismantled it.

Lets not forget their meltdown against Boston after a 19-8 third game win in 2004. :o Up 3-0 in the ALCS only to lose the series 4-3. :screwloose

It brings back pleasant memories, except that I'm not anti-Yankee. Decades earlier, the Boston Red Sox had traded the legendary "Babe Ruth" to the Yankees. The angry Ruth stated that the Red Sox would never win another World Series, and he went on to build the Yankees into America's winningest team. Decades later, the Red Sox finally did win another World Series.

I don't believe in the curse of the Bambino, but it was funny. The Red Sox lost the first three games in a row, and the headlines read "Curses! Foiled again!"

They went on to win the next four in a row, and the headlines read "Cursed No More!"

If you include their WS wins, they went eight in a row! I don't dislike them and since they showed the Yankees they were for real, I did think it would bee cool if they won the WS that year... but to sweep the Cards? Yikes... :o

Tim, the trains were jammed packed this morning. I go from Matawan to Linden or sometimes Elizabeth, but by the time we got to Woodbridge, they announced Rahway was going to be the last local stop for my train. So, I got off there and had to have someone come from Roselle just to get me. LOL

Crazy Yankee fans. :screwloose Um, er, wait... :oops

Well, at least the Cubs are trying.

They installed a new pitching machine the other day. Unfortunately it beat them 4-1.
