Worldometer is a pretty cool website.

One of the most popular since the start of this quarantine/outbreak.

One of the cool functions is that you can arrange the countries by any one metric you wish.

The one that comes up when loading the site is just total cases....
But in reality it's not that important...what's more important is percentage of people who either are or have been infected.
That one always is a big surprise.

Spain comes in the top ten (#10)as does Vatican City. Singapore is #9 and Kuwait at #10

USA is number 12...it may be #1 in total cases but....
Our quarantine doesn't seem to be working. But it's doing better than most.

Number crunching...
Epidemiology is the study of disease and population...why and how and when a group of people will get sick.

How many people are getting sick (as reported by the CDC or equivalent) and the number of people in the reporting country.

All these charts, graphs, and numbers go in to determining how well a nation is handling the outbreaks. How infected they became...what percentage die...some more than others.

All kinds of metrics.

UK ain't doing so well either...
Some of us older people don't have the antibodies that the younger people do. This notion of "herd immunity" isn't working out the way they thought it would. And the science is showing that.

I'd love to spend a lot of time with Kiwidan if I could....he is so far towards the bottom of infection rate....but their borders are closed still.

I been fishing at the dock and I think someone maybe hallucinating because rumour has it apparently there is a whale in the bay and people were coming down asking me if I have seen a whale, but I been fishing the dock, it's calm, and can clearly see if anything is in the bay or breaches the surface and there is no whale.

Then again just because I didn't see it does not mean it wasn't there, I know the bay and been there a while and no, no whale.

My friend hooked a godzilla earlier, he was not set up for a big fish only using live bait to catch this small Dory that was hanging around, but he hooked a solid amberjack and it took him in the weed line and busted. Even I was impressed that was a solid fish. That's why I use heavy line so I can lock it up if I hook a monster and it bust me in the weed line or spool all my line.

I lost too many big fish on light gear I had to go heavier.

Youre fishing in the ocean... always need heavy line there. The lightweight stuff is for creeks and lakes.

The whole sport of fishing is about line weight, the bigger the fish and lighter the gear gets records, and boat fishing is way different from land based fishing, if I was in a boat I would be using way lighter gear because it's easier to land. The real only big species where I fish would be the Amberjacks that are like 40/50lb and are know as one of the hardest fighting fish and the most cunning in the world and you got all this structure they can bust you off. If a big amberjack takes you straight to the weed line on light gear your busted, takes you around the dock post your busted, and they fight till the end.
