With the knowledge that the true Christian posseses about the satanic inspiration of the Koran......

As well as the empirical evidence of suicidal bombers and other evil "fruits" of this false empire.....

Would you support a measure in this country to BAN the distribution, sales, as well as practice of the religion of Islam if you were the KING OF THE COUNTRY!

A true Christian would not want the minds of the sheep to be influenced by this demonic book.... this is quite clear when talking to any hardcore Baptist..... So really isnt it the GODLY thing to do in this country?

Censorship of the Koran......

Yes...

No....

Why??????

I am against banning the Koran. I don't personally know a single Christian that would be for such a thing...

This is a christian nation, from day one it was a christian nation. While i myself welcome all walks of life and different faiths, the koran imho is the religion of SATAN himself. Just my opinion and remember, all things work for the glory of God!

PS- YES
PPS- Moderator, you do now

Once you start banning books, you're on the slippery slope to justifying genocide.

Banning the Koran would backfire on Christians and would be against the Constitution as it would violate freedom of expression.

I would be against any such move.

Expose the Quran by the light of the Bible and the Gospel.

Expose Muhammad by the example of Jesus.

:)

Well said, as ususal. :D

The difference between Christianity in foundation is that we are not allowed (biblically) to make or keep converts by coersion.

That being said, we know that this has been done in the 'name' of Christ, sometimes on a very broad basis.

But that is unbiblical practice. No, Christianity has NOTHING to fear. Yet the Koran makes provision for killing proselytes and apostates. Carry a bible around publically in Saudi Arabia, or attempt to build a Church in Egypt.

Yet Muslims live and worship free in the West, just as they did in Byzantium- even as Muslim conquerors warred against Byzantium.

No, it is freedom of religion or irreligion that creates an environment conducive to authentic spirituality. We don't need less Korans, we (Christians) need more 'living letters' to accomplish our goal. Our goal? To make converts? No, to preach the gospel, and make disciples.

I would hand my own children a Koran translation, tell them to read it, and discern for themselves. They would be unfazed. So no, I would NEVER be in favor of censoring Islam.

Another well written post. This post sums up my position as well.

Since most officers of the court wipe their behinds with the constitution anyhow, people who want a book banned can get around a little thing like the First Amendment anyway.

Still, it's a terrible idea.

I think one way to look at it if you believe very strongly in the Word of God as the Bible only is as follows....

The inspiration of the Koran IS NOT the Holy Spirit or of Christ....

The same can be said of the Satanic Bible by Levay (not sure if I spelled that right Levay Levey...????)......

So really if you are a believer in the BIBLE ALONE than it can be deduced that....

The Koran = Satanic bible (or the equivalent ultimate consequence)

And judging from past historical events like the Nazis, the Inquisition, etc....

We see that people are easily BRAINWASHED into the wrong religios idealogies....

So as a Christian that believes in the BILBLE ALONE are you not at least SECRETLEY in favor of banning this book as it is considered a SNARE to attaining Freedom in Christ??????

Speaking for myself, NO

Speaking for myself, NO

You wouldnt be happy to see all the Korans in the world just magically disapear?

That seems to be contradictory to your attempt to find more converts in Christ???? :-?

Muslim Arguments Need to be Answered
by John Gilchrist

Some might say, "Why argue at all?" - why not just exchange our different beliefs in a spirit of mutual understanding and leave the issues between our faiths alone? There are a number of reasons why Christians, if they are to be true to their faith and themselves, must be willing to answer Muslim objections and counter their arguments.

Firstly, if you cannot defend your faith, the Muslim will conclude that you may be fervent in your beliefs but cannot justify them. Your unwillingness to tackle the cutting-edges will persuade the Muslim that your religion is actually indefensible. Secondly, when you can not only state what you believe but can also effectively say why, the Muslim will be more inclined to listen to you, knowing you have personally tested the credibility of your beliefs and can convincingly defend them. Thirdly, when Muslims do become Christian believers, they invariably want to know right away what the evidences are for the faith they now profess, especially as they may well be challenged by Muslims to revert to Islam and will need to be well-trained to resist such pressures. The Apostle Peter stated very plainly that Christians must be ready to face the challenges put to them and also finely stated the spirit in which they should respond:

  • Always be prepared to make a defence to any one who calls you to account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence; and keep your conscience clear, so that, when you are abused, those who revile your good behaviour in Christ may be put to shame. 1 Peter 3:15-16
The Apostle Paul never shirked the duty to substantiate what he believed with adequate proofs. While in the company of contentious Jews who thrived on controversy, he would "argue with them from the scriptures, explaining and proving that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead" (Acts 17:2). He was not interested in a mere exchange of religious views, hoping his Gospel message would prove attractive enough merely by its presentation. He knew he had to be able to accredit everything he said if his detractors were to take him seriously. On another occasion he said "We destroy arguments and every proud obstacle to the knowledge of God" (2 Corinthians 10:5), proving himself to be a man who had mastered his subject and fully confident in his ability to endorse the truth of what he believed.

In Muslim evangelism it is essential that the Christian be able to counter the objections and arguments Muslims readily produce.

IT IS HARD TO DO THAT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE QURAN!!!

I have a copy of Koran. I also have a copy of the Book of Mormon and some Jehovah's witness publications.

Good post Gary...

So who are the four fascists so far who voted to burn the Koran?

Or do you prefer to remain anonymous? (the enemies of freedom usually do)

Why ban the evidence? The koran is self defeating and like a cheap hollywood imitation of the true Word of God. I think that 3 million Muslims converting to Christianity each year testifies to that. Without oppression by dictators and terrorists to hide people from the truth, Islam is dead. No wonder they hate Democracy.

Hi all!

Banning books is the first step toward burning books. Burning books is the first step toward burning people.

As an orthodox Jew, I believe that the Koran is both anti-Semitic and anti-Christian. But ban it? Certainly not.

Be well!
