Hello, my name is Joshua.
This is my first time being part of any forum, and I have struggled with my Faith for a long time. I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons, LDS), and I am thankful for the foundation of God and Christ, but when I turned 18, I realized that religion is flawed. We are often judged and not supported by one another as Christ commanded. For several years, I tried other religions, from Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, etc.. and none truly felt like the right place. I turned away from religion as a whole and for several years I closed my heart to God and Christ. For 10 years I had nothing to do with faith and even questioned if God was even real. Several years ago, I met my wife and started to open my heart back to God, Christ, and the holy ghost. A little over a year ago I received the job offer of my dreams. It led me out of state away from my wife and family and I was doing very well. I used this year away to work on my relationship with God and heal from a very traumatic childhood. I have since dedicated my life to doing the work of Christ and following his promptings and spirit. Our current goal is working to open a couples Christian couple retreat (Fully affordable) to focus on strengthening the marriage through Jesus Christ. This is where he is guiding me and I will be working on sharing my story with others down the road to help heal from traumatic past experiences and help them to take control and ownership of both their life and choices. In this they will truly heal and be able to open themselves up unto Christ in whom all things are possible. I look forward to helping others find Christ and the comfort that comes when you realize that your sins and your faults are already forgiven and atoned for. We are called to spread his message and that is what I will do. Opening this business will be a challenge and I have prayed often to the lord. It has led me here and I am sharing what I have been guided to work on for funding this. Not only to share Gods message with the world, but to help ensure I can work to open the retreat and after that to fun property where many homeless veterans can move together in a community run by themselves. Working to help them open up a farm where they will have animals, gardens and support for one another to come unto Christ and know that he loves and cares for them. Helping them to have a home, purpose, and commit their lives to Christ. I look forward to learning from everyone on this forum and to help strengthen my testimony and faith.
