You - as a detective

What if it was Sunday school?
I have a friend that her parents used to put all three daughters on the Baptist church's bus and send them off to Sunday school so the parents could have quiet time. :) Two of three are born again Christians today.
I thought about that Deborah :)

And thr rest didn't attend the Sunday School stuff?

My friends parents didn't just the kids. :shrug
Hey, a good detective has to look at all possibilities, right? And seeing we are not provided with all the information that the investigating officer would have, what can you expect? :neutral Wild speculations.

A good detective will look at all the possibilities some that are not even obvious :)

Okay... So it's not immediately obvious... That means I have to think. I hate it when that happens.

You said that the wife was upstairs sleeping (or at least claimed she was). Why was she sleeping in the middle of the afternoon? I thought about this for a while, and came up with a possible explanation. There was another man, who is not on the list, that was "sleeping" with her. The husband came home and caught them "sleeping". He went berserk and was about to kill them both, but the other man managed to kill the husband first. (Is that it, or do I just have a dirty mind?)

Maybe a little too much of the happy sauce :biggrin2

Hmmm...what time of the day was this?Us investigators need to know those things.:cool2

It has to be the cook. Private cooks/chefs typically take Sunday and Monday off for their 'weekends'. I've never met one who didn't.

Hence the cook claims to be cooking on a Sunday afternoon? Quite suspicious, to be certain!

:chin Hmmm...you have a point there.

It's in the OP. I'll quote it here so it will be easier to refer to (I've had to do that a few times myself).

You as a detective
Who is the murderer?

A husband was found murdered on 19-6-2011,
Sunday Afternoon inside his house. The wife phoned up the police.

The and members of the family:

Police: where were you when he was killed?.

The WIFE: I was sleeping upstairs when the murder
took place

The COOK: I was cooking in the kitchen

The HOUSEGIRL: I went for the children to drive them back home from school.

The GARDENER: I was at the garden trimming the flowers.

The PORTER: I was sent by him to purchase newspapers.

After listening to them, the police arrested
the murderer.

Who was the murderer? Hehehehehehehe

I think it might be someone who's not on the list, since the murderer would have tried to get away. Now, who's not on the list that would have had easy access to a getaway car? I notice that the chauffeur seems to have left. Did he do it?
