:shocked! Somebody has stolen the penny that I left near the hearth of the fireplace!!! It was ¾ way under the jar, right there!

Oh! And they left some red thing in the bottom left corner of the picture too. Oh! And look! They left my lamp on too. But wait! That isn't my lamp. Oh, and they swapped my couch out and they replaced it with this brown leather one too. Hey! They took all my furniture and remodeled my apartment with some dark wooden tables and end tables oh and they took my carpet and painted my wall and they put up new pictures and took all of my artwork too! OH, and they left the drawer on that table open and they installed a fireplace where all I had was a jar and a penny peeking out from under it and MY PENNY IS MISSING!

Opps. Wrong house. I live in the other apartment across the hall

I've heard of a patent for microscopic resisters and the idea was that "some day in the future" hidden cameras could actually be hidden. Needless to say, I bought stock in that company. Also needless to say, the stock went down since then. I could use some of that there cash. Gonna go knock on my neighbor's door and see if anybody's home.

But Peter never felt like runnning away. He saw the fish...hundreds of them...and believed....tho Christ was there.

Not sure what I would do. I would not horde it. And I've already spent too much on wine, women and song... so no, not that again. But not sure what I'd do, except to accept it with thanks and do what my hand is given to do.

Have I ever told you about that time that I heard a still, quiet voice? You know the one. He said (in the manner that He makes things known to me, not sure this is the same for all, but we all do know His voice), "Expand your walls."

So I set about expanding. Then I heard, "Expand all your walls."

So I set about in the most serious manner that I could to "expand all my walls," and this not only included the physical walls of my dwelling place and the size of my U-Store-It rental area but also other walls, things that I saw as protective barriers, like the way that I thought of others and the ideas and concepts that I protected, I wanted to expand them all because I believed (and still believe) that the Lord had spoken. I expanded the walls of my prayerfullness too. Became much more prayerful during those times and days.

So then comes the lesson of "The Pile".

I was living with my two sons in a small 2 bedroom duplex. Nice yard. Driveway. My mother had passed away recently and I was the executor of the estate. So to the things that I had, my furniture and other stuffs were added the contents of her household. Now I had two mechanical can openers and two electric can openers, for instance. Much went into storage.

Then, marriage to a lovely lady in Tennessee happened. This union would later be broken as she departed in divorce but during the time of "expansion" I did go to Tennessee and we rented another storage facility. We also packed up her household. Oh, did I say that one of the most beautiful women that I've ever beheld (my new mother-in-law) also came? Yes. She had reduced her household items to what could be contained in a retirement home setting but the contents of her house and all their life long treasured items had been stored and they all came with us too. We "loaded up the trucks and moved to Beverly..." Or that was the theme song anyway. The move was to the new place - 3/4 acres of land. 3 Bedrooms, large living room, rec room. It wasn't a mansion but it was a good sized place and there was a new Retirement Village for my mother-in-law, a full double garage for us (complete with additional storage rooms added on), and also another rented Storage Facility added later... and there you go.

I had expanded my walls.

To what effect? Well now we had 4 electric can-openers. But during the move from my little home to our larger home, my "two" were put into boxes. We did unpack some stuff, but when it came time to open a can? There was (in our haste) a very large pile of boxes in what was an added on room to the larger place. This room was huge and roomy and open and very spacious. It was also crammed from floor to ceiling with boxes. We had two Refrigerators (not plugged in - but they had Arm-n-Hammer soda in them to deodorize and the doors were left ajar), we had box upon box of things, from precious and with no possible value that could be set other than, "That's worth a lot!" all the way to the post-it-notes that were taken and scribbled on by the hands of children who liked to make treasure... we had it all.

SO what about that can opener? It was in what was called, "The Pile". The choice: "Find it" or "Buy Another" was quite the dilemma because we could afford it and there was a little hardware store just outside our back gate, so within walking distance, but I am a frugal sort and the idea of purchasing another was almost repulsive.

Dig through the Pile?

That's not an option, not for a day, not for a weekend, maybe over a period of a year but where to put all that unpacked junk? And I didn't want to toss my newly wedded brides' stuff (junk) away...

What to do? Get a knife. That works. Eventually we did find one of the can openers and I have learned the "Lesson of the Pile."

The Lord gives, the Lord takes away. Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

recently, I have found a key to bmw 325I with the car next to the keys by the bench. had I been tempted I could have stole that car. but I didn't and I had my trainer, danny call in the keys to the boss and the owner was grateful im sure.

I would do the same once I found out who broke in and did this. as there would be no Cheyenne in the house.
