Your Favorite Drummer or Guitarist

And, of course, Pete Townsend's guitar work was an inspiration for my own desire to play guitar.

Truthfully, at the end of the day, Keith Moon is where it's at for me:

I figured that was coming as well. I think Moon, Bonham and Peart were the only few who could pull off a drum solo in concert, or at least so far as I can remember.

Plini would also make my list of favorite guitar players.

Wonderful build up from 3:00 till the end.

What's fun about great musicians (if they're still living) is that you can keep up with them, and they don't disappoint.

Live, from a few months ago.

Favorite guitarist: Phil keaggy:

Favorite drummer: Karen Carpenter: (her drums start at 1:40)

I always had the idea that girls shouldn't be playing the drums.
Kind of like trying to be a marine....

If I were a girl, I'd tap you with my sticks on the forehead for saying that, and tell you to "Think again!"

My youngest daughter is a GREAT drummer. My son is not bad either. He was taught by his sister.
Maybe your idea was not such a good idea.

Has she played the drums professionally for more than two hours straight?
I doubt it.
Unless she has the muscles of a man.

It's not a matter of playing good or not playing good.
It's a matter of strength.

Has society convinced us that a girl has the same strength as a boy?

My favorite drummer , choice . Shelia E. She also made this list The Best Female Drummers In The World Right Now@wondering check-out her drumming shoes :cool .
See.
See.
She cares more about her shoes than her drumming!!!

I want to see her go at it for 2 hours.
AND she's one of the best FEMALE drummers.
OK.
That I can agree with.

There's another great drummer but I can't think of his name....

But what about Larry Mullen?
He adds so much to U2's music.

Terry Kath. Guitarist.
Before he and his group made their first album, and they were still playing in a certain L.A. club, Jimi Hendricks told his band members that he (Kath) was better than him. How's that comment from a rock and roll great to launch your career? Without searching does anybody know who Terry Kath was?
