"i was wondering what music among christians is populair besides the gospels but more into the pool of music, like all' music?"

I listen primarily to Bluegrass, and Folk with some Barbershop now and again.

I Don't "Buy" music, I record it if I didn't make it myself - nowadays off "you tube" and blast it onto CDs for the car.

Since I'm in, and have been in several Bands (5-string Banjo/Autoharp) for the last 25 years or so, the majority of what I listen to are those bands, and the music we made back in the day. It's all music the "way I like it". The Isaacs, Country Gentlemen, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, anything by Flatt & Scruggs, and Ralph Stanley.

I never bother listening to "Contemporary Christian" noise (but DO play bass in the Worship team at church which does mostly contemporary stuff). I don't have to LIKE it to play it, and most folks do appear to "like it" nowadays.

Its hard to have a favorite i think...I listen to a lot of different stuff. Shane and Shane, He is Legend, Iron and Wine, Underoath, Mumford and Sons, Death Cab, Pensive Sky. Its good to mix it up!

Just about anything ELVIS :guitar
i went to a church that converted some of his songs to gospel song. the beat of jailhouse rock was used for since the devil left me.

and God used that song to heal men and set them free from drugs.

I'm pretty much strictly a bluegrass lover. I do listen to other stuff from time to time, but it's almost always bluegrass. It's what I love, what I play and what I listen to. I can't get into listening to contemporary Christian music at all, though won't get into why so as not to offend anyone. Also, I don't really listen to gospel either. I feel this is worship music, not listening music, so if I'm not taking part in it, I don't see the point of just merely listening to it, know what I mean?

my answer to this is " Your love " by Brandon Heath. Love the lyrics and I am in love with his voice.

Your Love

I felt it first when I was younger
A strange connection to the lie
I tried to satisfy the hunger
I never got it right
I never got it right

So I climbed a mountain and l built an altar
Looked out as far as I could see
And everyday I'm getting older
I'm running outta dreams
I'm running outta dreams

But Your love
Your love
The only the thing that matters is Your love
Your love is all I have to give
Your love is enough to light up the darkness
It's Your love
Your love
all I ever needed is Your love

You know the effort I have given
And you know exactly what it cost
And though my innocence was taken
Not everything is lost
Not everything is lost

But Your love
Your love
The only the thing that matters is Your love
Your love is all I have to give
Your love is enough to light up the darkness
It's Your love
Your love
all I ever needed is Your love

You're the hope in the morning
You're the light when the night is falling
You're the song when my heart is singing
it's Your love
You're the eyes to the blind man
You're the feet to the lame men walking
You're the sound of the people singing
It's Your love

But Your love
Your love
The only the thing that matters is Your love
Your love is all I have to give
Your love is enough to light up the darkness
It's Your love
Your love
all I ever needed is Your love

But Your love
(Your love is all that I needed)
The only the thing that matters is Your love
Your love is all I have to give
Your love is enough to light up the darkness
(Your love is all that I needed)
It's Your love
Your love
It's all I ever needed

My taste in music changes all the time! UI grew up in the 70's and early 80's, so I loved punk and new wave, then I discovered goth, then I discovered death punk, then I discovered Jesus, so most of my record collection went into the bin.
I didn't listen to music at all apart from christian stuff for about 10 years. And then one day I discovered Larry Norman, and started enjoying music again!;) (sorry, but most christian bands and artists are just too cheesy for me).
In recent years I have discovered some obscure chap called Bob Dylan who recorded the most extraordinary christian album ever, (Slow Train Coming), and another little-known (non-christian, although he references his catholic up-bringing) singer/songwriter called Bruce Springsteen.
Wonderful stuff.
If I had to choose just christian artists to listen to, I'd go for Larry Norman, Rich Mullins and The Lost Dogs (bet you've not heard of them!):p
