I was thinking of you when I took these.

I used a filter(cheap one) to get this look. the bottom isn't edited. it was at dusk when they lit all manner of rockets, sparklers. the photos are of the roman candle and were above the power line.

I had totally forgotten about the 4th until Sunday morning when we got invited to a party.
*Sigh*
Too much work and not enough play time.

I think about playing a lot with my research into scuba diving.

But I'm thinking more about all the fireworks for the days to follow.

Happy Independence Day everyone!!!! :biggrin That concludes this year's Fourth of July countdown. I sincerely hope that everyone here has a fun and safe wonderful holiday and our next countdown will start on October first for you got it,.. Halloween. :shock Until then, I salute all of the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. This is for you.

thou shall not be disappointed , I can assure you. in these photos , save one, there is a flag. the island, there is where I died in the sense of recalling my service to inspire an artist to create a memorial of men who served in Afghanistan and Iraq. I can revisit the ghost of me at that island at any time. it is also where my retirement ceremony was at. fireworks are always launched there and boats will be seen there. plenty of them.
