I tried to register and answered the security captcha question too. Your system said that there's an issue that I appear to be spam.

treefrogkisses@protonmail.ch is my email. Please let me know if you're accepting apps.

The system when I tried to post this said my name is already in use, Tribe ODPalePeople . But yet, the same system that logged me on says I'm spam.

Hi pale people, and welcome. I have no idea the technical problems we may have during our present update, but I'll tag our Techs, and hopefully they'll be able to help. They're not online right now, but hopefully see it soon. :wave2

Protonmail has generated a tremendous amount of spam, so it's been blocked.
Are you able to use Facebook for your account?

I posted that a friend of my sister couldn't log on due to an error here via Facebook.
Why not let new registrants know in advance that certain emails bounce back or will generate a SPAM message? I joined a forum a few years ago that forewarned of that. It saved a lot of time because back then Yahoo was having an issue with receiving emails even in the SPAM folder. And Yahoo was one of those email servers that the site warned about due to that.

I can log in just fine with facebook, and we have had new members who have created their accounts using Facebook.
We never got to the bottom of that thread, but it points to something on their end.
I doubt it. My brother tried to register to see if he got the oops message. He said he's never seen a site so paranoid of Bots as to have so many captcha images challenge him. But going through the motions he still got that same SPAM message others have. There's not a lot of people in the new member greetings board either. That could mean something. Either way, it is what it is. Glitches are a computers way of showing us who really has power. :lol

Think of all those things we can't access if a computer goes down. And bolder than that in controls, electricity. When that goes, we're really stuck.

Was your friend ever able to set up the account? I wasn't really sure where that left off other than it seemed it was on their end. If not, let me know via PM and we will work it out.

As far as this posters issue, this site did not specifically ban them. We use a third party spam blocker filters registrations. Prior to that domain being blocked by the software, we were getting 3 or more pieces of spam a day from that domain. I did not know until now that it was a legit email server in Sweeden until yesterday because most spam makes up their servers.

Do I turn off our spam filter? Not really an option. Do I allow that domain and have the spam increase again? Not really a good option either.

In this case, if this person can't use Facebook, I could set up an account for them.

We use standard Google captcha.
As an FYI, the filter we use also ties into a pool. If we ban a member here, they are placed in a spam pool. We only look back 30 days, I think.... I'll double check. But if your brother was banned from another site that was in the same pool we use, he would be rejected as spam.

He's not joined community forum sites before. I doubt he'd be in any pool. Thanks for the info.

Not through the Facebook link they're not.
The faster registration button behind the Facebook link gives new registrants this message.
There is no valid connected account request available. Please try again.

I'm going to see if I can register through the regular way again. When I tried the first time having answered the security Cap challenge it seemed to be processing. Then the page returned blank as if nothing had been entered or had registered.

I am done. How many times does someone have to go to the trouble of filling out the reg page only to have it go blank during processing? Too many bad programs not working at your site. Good luck on the fix.

I need your help. Just saying something doesn't work does not help me fix the issue. This site does not log registration failures, so I need to know what you are doing, and exactly where.
1. What browser are you using. Do not use Firefox as there are reports that Firefox is not completely compatible with this site.
2.when you say go blank, what screen did you fill out before prossesing went blank?

I'm using Yandex. I was one of those affected by that Experian hack and I secure myself when on the Net now.
I can adjust it to read as a Chrome browser through a user agent switch if that helps.
UberMink , was the screen name I last tried to register with. I got a blank page again after hitting submit.

Let me know if you need any more information. Thank you for your help.

Can you please try to register through chrome or Microsoft Edge. Chrome has an incognito function if you are concerned about tracking etc.
