of course but we can very legalistic with this. I have done it.i grew up with no birthdays, Christmas, thanksgiving and not much on the music side.

As long as we truthfully know inside that it's a lie when we claim we read Playboy for the articles, we cannot, with a godly heart, continue buying the rag.

That's only one of the more obvious things... the illicit sex, the degrading of Frank Burns, the back biting, the contemptuous put downs, the false fronts, etc.

I know, I caught a lot with the time in I have and after I was in country. ie the adultery/relationship with major holihan? and the other guy.

The lowest time in my life. I won't even type some of the shameful things I did during that time.

I saw an officer commit adultery with a member of the platoon. not that I saw the act but the flirting etc and her leaving his room . it was that obvious. I don't have any regrets of my time there.
 
witches soothsayers etc are clearly pointed out in scripture as abomination ... birthdays, music some other things are not..

the origin of birthdays does have some magic in it. the wish is what im talking about. lol and I originally spelled magic, majik. which is the Arabic way of spelling that phoenetically and its a name of a market place here. owned by arabs at one time.
 
I found my self laughing at Married with children.. some how i realized there is nothing funny about having a slut daughter ... To day TV (hollywood) has men in such a substandard place...
 
I hated that show, Reba. But MASH was one I could not resist. I saw right thru the filth and the crap about the only Christian (other than the Preist) being in an affair, but I let that go for the comedy.

I think most of us were captivated by I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, I remember watching the Mickey Mouse Club with Mickey portraying a sorcerer, I believe all of that was to desensitize us to what was to come and what is out there today, probably most people laugh or shrug these things of, after all it's the 21st century, ...but they are real, three times I have had witches come to cast a spell on me, of course He who is in me is greater than he who is in them, but they can cast spells on non-believers, I once worked for a man who had a mana (power) stone in his flower bed, people were all the time coming to worship it and receive power, also a very popular tourist attraction here is to walk across glowing red coals with a warlock, ...Paul tells us at the end there will be signs and lying wonders by the power of Satan to deceive many, to seduce and deceive those that have not received a love for the Truth, I believe that is what we are seeing and experiencing.
