Sorry you serve a God that doesn't talk to you. This thread has nothing to do with my 1st century beliefs. And where did I ever say that Jesus isn't coming back? lol. If you can't find where I said that, it's probably because I didn't. lol. :rolleyes2
The Spirit can speak through someone to another person without quoting the Bible at all. The other person could be saved just from that if the Holy Spirit opens their eyes. Testimonies are an example of this. What Bible did Abraham get saved with?
I heard the actual words of the Lord. Actual voice, actually talking to me, lol. I happened to be reading the Bible, but, unless He would have literally said something at that moment, I would have just kept reading and nothing would have happened. Lol. It took the Spirit to make the book...
Ronnie, reread the chapter where Paul is talking about "hearing the word." I believe it's something different than what you think. Lol.
If you argue that God "Cannot" save someone without a literal "book," you are basically saying that, there is something that is impossible for God. Which...

The picture is from an event with a sports league that I run. One of the player's kids got hurt, and I was carrying him to a fountain to wash off his cuts. Lol. ;) ;) ;) We had a video cam going at the time and it caught the whole thing (you shoulda seen the fall this...
Luk 21:5 And as some were speaking about the temple, that it had been adorned with beautiful stones and gifts, He said,
Luk 21:6 As to these things that you see, days will come in which a stone will not be left on a stone, which will not be thrown down.
Luk 21:20 And when you see Jerusalem...
I know the Spirit is the Word of God. The words in a book are what the Spirit told other people, and, they wrote it down. But, without the Spirit, what is the Book? Can you be saved without the Spirit? No, of course not. Can you be saved without the Book? 100% absolutely. Lol. :D
I always thought the "word of God" here meant the Bible. At least that's what I was always taught, I believe. Think the author was talking about the Spirit of Christ, i.e. the Word?
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to...

I used to believe the flood was worldwide. I didn't even question it, lol. The Bible said it, so, it must be.
Of course after learning about misinterpretation, Apostles speaking from their mind and not by revelation from the HS etc, I started wondering.
I believe the word most incorrectly...
