My oldest brother has made a Lazarus like comeback from near death two years ago.
I asked what motivates him to want to live (perhaps a rude question). Anyway he said something that has stuck in my mind;
"I think I can make a difference".
He is a Christian.
I think he means he can show more love than he did before. Now he seems more of a listener than a talker. It's like he has had a spiritual awakening. I mean we still argue and I probably still annoy him. But there is a new element there. He doesn't have to win. He's more measured in his responses.
He has always been a role model for me in a way.
Interesting.
 
Making a difference. I tend to assume this means living a very social life. Meeting many people. Helping many people.
But it can mean living a very quiet life. Just meeting a few people. We can make a difference in a small scale.
 
I think sometimes God calls us to live very quiet private lives. Lonely in some respects. Not all of us have to live extroverted lives. Not all of us have to be community focussed.
 
It is about everyone living peaceful quiet private lives and respecting there neighbour, but some peope like to get there nose in other peoples business.

I live in a dodgy neighbourhood and i just mind my own business and no problem ever comes my way.

yeah...King Joseph the rational is (gasp) a capable and skilled leader. career politician, all that. I still wish the DNC had given the green light to warren or sanders.
