Coldness and evil.
They seem to go together.
And yet coldness can be a useful trait in many occupations which require calm under pressure.
Lack of remorse after sin. That's coldness. Being cruel to others and not feelings pangs of guilt afterwards.
I'm too anxious to be cold. Yet I have lacked the awareness to realise I had been cruel to another.
We must always be tuned in. Our antenna on. How our behaviour is affecting another. What words are we using? Does something really need to be said? I may sound hypocritical here.

The first thing we do is give a confession to God.
Then we need to repent, not do that again.
Then we need to right that wrong with whoever we offended.

If a boss/ manager/leader can create a good vibe workplace, it's such a positive thing.
Of course , they need to encourage high performance, and the bottom line is often make maximum money. Or keep the customer satisfied at all costs.
Despite these pressures, ideally the boss creates a caring and thoughtful environment. One in which mutual respect and constructive communication thrives. When I've worked in such a place, I've looked forward to coming to work. Work becomes a pleasure rather than a chore.
