Focus on the Family addresses the use of biblical principles in parenting and marriage to strengthen the family.

Miscellaneous

Marriages that work are the building blocks of a functional and happy society.
Because parents that create stability for their kids create a stability for society.

im with you on that. I'm regarded as "Schizophrenic," now, but...I had all kinds of serious, untreated physical health ailments, in years past. Maybe my mind just...broke, gave way? I dunno. now, I"m healthy, but..."Schizophrenic." go figure.

marriage was once regarded as a serious obligation, as something...bigger than the 2 people, even bigger than any kids that came of it. now...at least in the US, the overall divorce rate has stabilized for first marriages (good luck with a 2nd or third, tho), but the concept has changed, so its more like...

something that's supposed to keep both people "happy" and/or "growing" or...something, I dunno. in other news, I see there's a booming industry in psychologists helping people do "collaborative divorce," which...I find distasteful, personally. blah. :-(

i watched a big segment of the Presidential inaugruation. good times...to a point. I am thankful that Biden is President, now. not to get all political, but...this is good, I hope and think.

but I"m not -excited- , you know? US democracy depends on a 75+ year old career politician? or the dems just really, really, -really- didn't want Warren or Sanders? I don't get it...

Who is watching the Biden inauguration? It's 3am here but I'm still up to watch the changing of the guard.

Our national broadcaster had been accused of left wing bias. It probably is biased. They certainly don't like Trump. But even many Republicans don't like Trump.
Already this morning, someone from BLM is saying how we have to get justice for black people and stop racism.
But I'm not really a fan of BLM. There was some violence and looting when they protested last time. Their aim seems to be destruction of white male privilege and capitalism. In a word. Extremism.

But Biden.....he is too old..and so was Trump. We need someone young don't we?

Trump was something of an anomaly. Biden...was basically crowned Prez by the DNC. happens. :-(

i dunno. he might make things easier for the disabled, which would affect me in good ways. time will tell on that one...

hopefully, he'll get the ball rolling on covid. that will affect me, but not as directly as people who are in the workforce and/or the very frail, who live under -constant- threat from this mess.

other than that, I don't see much change. King Donald the terrible gives way to King Joseph the rational. my parents might end up paying more in taxes (?), but I'm not even sure on that, honestly. the super rich gained big time under Trump, the rich and merely well to do a bit, the upper middle class a tiny bit...

? so I dunno. time will tell... :-)

Trump apparently had Frank Sinatra's "my way " playing on his plane as he left Washington.

Notice Biden and the gang are wearing masks. I think that's mature responsible leadership already.
