Yes as they were in 1937.this is the front entrance to the driftwood.I could walk and never cease to photo all that I could find.old relics predating america in there plus sextons odd usage of a seafaring, driftwood thing.
 
That is being refurbished. More photos on that to follow.I have posted it's photo before
 
Yes,I used to read this building. It was a druggie haven.I watched the first time a deal go down there.I'm glad the owner is restoring it.it's very much part of Vero history.I think it has nine units.

The parking garage for this has been razed.

In the dimming light of day into evening, the sign for the Driftwood was still readable.

I rather like the dichotomy of the light and dark in the photo.

And, naturally, the palm trees are exquisite to see :sohappy

Dimming? That is dawning of the day.I took that on the way to park and start my route.the entire driftwood inn is to big to photo without a Paneramic photo.it's about a block in size.it's starts at bougainvillea and ends at camelia.

Edited the streets.

It looked more like twilight than dawn .... but either time, the photo is stunning!

Lol.I started that route at 7:05.I end up at the driftwood within 5 to ten minutes.I have only taken photos of the original section.the one place you didn't commit about,the ocean grill is as old and built by the same guy,sexton.it served as an officer club in ww2.
