Here are two facts that I have learned from my research.

  • The COVID Vaccine doesn’t prevent a person from dying from COVID 19.

  • The COVID Vaccine doesn’t prevent a person from spreading COVID-19 to others.

Which is no different from other vaccines as none are 100% effective.

I agree with your last point but not necessarily your first. While it is true that no drug or vaccine is 100% effective, tested and proven vaccines do a lot of good. It is a fact that hospitalizations and deaths from Covid are considerably lower than for those who are vaccinated vs those who are unvaccinated.

Are the vaccines effective? Yes, particularly for reducing the potential for serious illness and death from Covid. What concerns me is whether or not the research exercised due diligence to be absolutely certain these vaccines are truly safe for human use. That remains to be seen but at this time, the vaccines are effective.

A friend of mine is a CIO for the hospital system in Warsaw, WI and part of his job is data monitoring. According to him, over 99% of all hospitalizations for Covid are unvaccinated patients. Here's a graph from the CDC that pretty much says the same thing.

While this is true, you also have to look at the rest of the data. The Vaccine reduces the risk of death and reduces the risk of spreading.

And just to throw this out there to be fair, only 2% are at risk for death. The rest seem to recover.

What I would like to see is the current death rate for those hospitalized verses when this first started.
It should show that Covid is treatable, which should support early treatment.

Think of it like any other disease, like cancer for example. Your odds of survival are always better when caught and treated early.

But, the vaccines have significantly reduced the number of deaths from COVID, as well as severe outcomes. They also reduce spread, which makes sense since they reduce the severity.

No one has said that the vaccines are 100% effective, so arguing to absolute prevention is a very weak argument against the vaccines.

Have you heard the latest?
34,600 women in a class action suit against J & J for getting ovarian cancer after the shots.
And they found traces of asbestos powder in the vaccine.
Asbestos powder?
I'm not getting any shots.

Your talking about the allegations of their Talc powder, not the vaccine.

LOL!!!! :hysterical

It wouldn’t be a good idea for the public too see that the vaccine doesn't work in the trials?

That is truly funny... and extremely alarming.

Please reread my post. I stated that the general public doesn’t understand research—good research from bad; the conclusions; what the research is saying and what it is not saying. Scientists can disseminate th at information, that’s fine and how it should be done. But there is a reason why the vast majority of the public does not have access to the vast majority of research. Bad things can happen when people don’t know what they’re doing with it.

Take the “research” paper years ago that “proved” vaccines cause autism. It is still being used by some anti-vaxxers to support their position, despite being pulled quite some time ago because the research was very flawed.

And, as has been pointed out, the vaccines are quite effective. To say that they don’t work is simply not true.

When my neighbor was diagnosed with covid a month ago, there was no treatment offered. He was fully vaccinated so I don't know if that played a part.

I was diagnosed two days later (I was not officially vaccinated yet) and the only treatment offered was to go ahead and treat the symptoms like I would with any cold/flu.

My wife was diagnosed positive the same day I was (she was fully vaccinated) and because of her history with respiratory issues such as COPD and previous history with cancer, she was eligible and received a monoclonal antibody treatment. This treatment is only available to those who fall into a high risk category with Covid or begin to experience serious symptoms. This treatment is also not yet fully approved by the FDA and is only administered under the authority of the EUA (Emergency Use Authorization).

My neighbor's wife was diagnosed a week later. She was fully vaccinated. For her, because of her weight and a history with respiratory issues, she was eligible and received a monoclonal antibody treatment.

Where is the evidence that the vaccine doesn’t harm people?

The CDC says it does indeed harm people.

Myocarditis and Pericarditis
Updated Sept. 8, 2021

CDC and its partners are actively monitoring reports of myocarditis and pericarditis after COVID-19 vaccination. Active monitoring includes reviewing data and medical records and evaluating the relationship to COVID-19 vaccination.
Myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle, and pericarditis is inflammation of the outer lining of the heart. In both cases, the body’s immune system causes inflammation in response to an infection or some other trigger. Learn more about myocarditis and pericarditis.external icon Seek medical care if you or your child have symptoms of these conditions within a week after COVID-19 vaccination.

What You Need to Know

  • Cases of myocarditis reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS)external icon have occurred:
    • After mRNA COVID-19 vaccination (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), especially in male adolescents and young adults,
    • More often after the second dose
    • Usually within several days after vaccination
  • Most patients with myocarditis or pericarditis who received care responded well to medicine and rest and felt better quickly.
  • Patients can usually return to their normal daily activities after their symptoms improve. Those who have been diagnosed with myocarditis should consult with their cardiologist (heart doctor) about return to exercise or sports. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
Both myocarditis and pericarditis have the following symptoms:
  • Chest pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Feelings of having a fast-beating, fluttering, or pounding heart
Seek medical care if you or your child have any of these symptoms, especially if it’s within a week after COVID-19 vaccination.
If you have any health problems after vaccination, report them to VAERSexternal icon.

Why would someone want to endanger themselves with an experimental vaccine that cases heart problems?

People who are not sick do not need a harmful experimental vaccine.

When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Matthew 9:12

Shifting the burden of proof onto me isn’t a great tactic, especially since I, not anyone else, has stated that the vaccines don’t harm people. Of course they do; they all do. The main thing to remember is that the benefits of getting vaccinated outweigh the potential negative side effects.

Myocarditis, for example, does happen after vaccination, but not only are the chances of that happening are incredibly small, it is 6-10 times more likely to happen with getting COVID.

And that is the interesting thing with certain vaccine side effect such as fatigue, blood clots, myocarditis—the chances of getting those issues due to COVID are magnitudes of order greater. Again, the data is clear that the vaccines are much safer than COVID.

Also, at this point, the vaccines are not experimental. Almost 7 billion doses over the course of a year is far beyond experimental.

That’s very odd. In Michigan, anyone was eligible for monoclonal treatment as long as they were outside of day five and before day 8 and they showed signs they would get pnemonia.
That being said, not all hospitals offered this and the treatment you received varied from hospital to hospital.
For example, my wife went to the hospital in our town even though I explicitly told her where to go. They had her for a few hours, gave her a cocktail of remdisiver and sent her home. The next day I had her taken to the hospital I told her to go to to begin with. She was so exhausted, she had to be lifted out of the car and put immediately on oxygen and they started her on a standard 5 day treatment. Had she not gone in when she did, she would either be dead or at minimum out on a vent. Some hospitals just suck, and in our small town everyone knows ours sucks.

We now have Molnupiravir which is a pill. We’ve come a long way in treating Covid.

A buddy of mine works for the hospital. He said it more than once that the story nobody is telling are all the amputees that were taking hospital recovery beds due to all the blood clots.

I don’t doubt it. Brutal. My wife got AZ for her first dose because it was the only one available at the time. This despite her being at high risk for blood clots from that vaccine. However, we ran the numbers and the chances of blood clots from COVID were way higher, so she took the jab and was fine.

Why would anyone want to take a vaccine that could kill them, but doesn’t prevent the person from dying from that disease or prevent the person from spreading that disease to others?

Why would a government want to force it’s people to take a vaccine that could kill them, but doesn’t protect them from dying from that disease or prevent them from spreading that disease?

Why do you keep repeating the same things despite being told numerous times that they’re false or misleading?

Have you had any vaccines in your life? Did your children get vaccines? Every single one of them could have killed or harmed you or your children or anyone you know who has gotten any kind of vaccine. Any of those vaccines may have had breakthrough cases. It happens. It happens with all vaccines because as I have been saying, none are 100% effective!

The reality is, anything that is not already in your body is foreign to it. That is why people have allergic reactions to some foods. Some people die from eating certain foods because they didn't know they were allergic. I didn't find out that I was allergic to tree nuts until I had turkey gravy with walnuts in them. It causes an anaphylactic reaction. My throat closes up, I break out in hives all over my body, and can kill me. Some people just have to breathe in the dust of tree nuts or peanuts for them to go into anaphylaxis.

AZ huh? Musta been desperate lol! Just kidding.
Because of how my body responded to the flu vaccine, I was not going to get it. However, as I learned about mRNA I decided I would take Pfizer or Moderna, but not J&J or AZ. AZ was the least effective of the four and seemed to have the worst side effects. My son actually knew the gal in Detroit that got a clot from J&J…
Anyway, your right. For those prone to clots, they were more likely to get clots from Covid than from the Vaccine. Come to think of it, I don’t recall any clotting with mRNA vaccines, or at least if there were they didn’t make headlines like J&J.
