You have already admitted that the Donation of Constantine is a forgery and therefore not evidence of anything.
Also, even if it were not, it would be an Imperial document not a Church one.

That's not how a discussion works. You make a claim - you provide the evidence.
I assume from your lack of evidence that you have none.
Where did I say the Donation of Constantine was a forgery? Yes, I made a claim, you asked me my source and I gave you the information. That's how discussions work.

I have yet to see you put forth where your information comes from other than you just saying so. This is why it is so important to research that of what another claims.

This is a phrase first used in the forged medieval Donation of Constantine to refer to the Apostle Peter who Catholics claim to be the first Pope. It has been used for every Pope.

Yes, I made a claim, you asked me my source and I gave you the information. That's how discussions work.
You gave me no source.

Perhaps you could set me an example and show me how it's done.

Sorry, I should have said supposedly forged as the debate continues even today. This is something you can look up and make your own conclusions as I have.

I did give you two sources in post #16.

You know exactly how to post a source and would appreciate it if you would so I can go read them.

I did look up thelatinlibrary. But I have no idea where anything is there. Perhaps you could give me a proper link.

As for John Daniel - am I supposed to download his book and read through it.

Neither of those are proper sources.

As for your other attempt at a source:

I did not get this from the 7th Day Adventist, but straight from a Catholic source.

Am I supposed to type "a Catholic source" into a search engine?

And I asked you: Can you provide any evidence from an authentic Catholic Church document that a Pope has ever claimed this as a title?
So far you have failed to do so.

‘Vicarius Filii Dei’ is not and never has been a title of the Pope.
7th Day Adventists love to claim it is because it comes to 666.
I did a search in my Logos Library for that title and you are right, although many believe its a title for the pope, it seems to be the invention of A. Helwig in 1611:

John gives the number of the beast as 666. Here is one of those cases in which interpreters should be very careful and avoid speculating as much as possible. Adventists have traditionally followed other Protestant interpreters in finding that number in the sum of the letters of the papal title VICARIVS FILII DEI (“Vicar of the Son of God”). The German Protestant writer Andreas Helwig seems to have originally suggested it around 1611.8 Uriah Smith accepted the interpretation and popularized it among Adventists through his book on Revelation. Interestingly, Ellen G. White, who wrote extensively on final events, never used that title to explain the number 666.9
As we evaluate that interpretation of the symbolic number 666 we must keep in mind that it is not certain the “Vicar of the Son of God” was ever an official title of the pope.-Fortin, D. (2020). Ellen G. White’s Ministry in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. In Perplexing Doctrinal Questions Answered. Faithlife.

Not certain???! If it was a title of the Pope's, it surely would be found in Vatican Documents which can accessed online.

I gave you the links and it's up to you to figure them out. Just type them into your search engine.

If you had proper links you could give them.
I suspect you just did a copy and paste from an ant-Catholic web site and have no clue as the actual origin.

And you failed even to attempt to answer the second part of my post:

You are, of course, correct. No Pope has ever claimed this title, nor has the Church ever claimed this title on a Pope's behalf. However, for some folk, the truth can never be permitted to stand in the way of a cherished prejudice.

The ten horns are ten kings who have not yet received their kingdoms as the Vatican's New World Order Headquarters and the United Nations Organization, One Security Council that claims authority over the world are waiting for ten permanent members. In 2009 the UNO divided the world into ten economic regions and each one will have a Jesuit Provincial set over them, but their end will come with the glory of the Lord striking them down when He returns with us His army. (Will study more about the army in Rev 19)

Kingdom 7: North Africa and the Middle East
Kingdom 8: Central Africa
Kingdom 9: South and Southeast Asia
Kingdom 10: Central Asia
How convenient that your division adds up to 10.
Where does the UK, Russia and China fit into this?

And how does your theory relate to your comment in another thread
Theories are just that, theories without factual proof.

Apparently my attempts have failed with you and I will bow out of this conversation as there can be no more discussion attempts with you. Look them up, don't look then up. I have my understandings as well as you having your own. You have a good day.

Brillant!! Touché!!
That's not very Christian of you as this is not an argument or a debate, but two people having different views by how they study. I always give my sources and it's up to others if they want to explore them. I never ask anyone to agree with me.

The standard you espouse is the same standard by which you are evaluated.

for_his_glory,

You know, unless it’s scripture, sources are no more authoritative than other men in my view. I will tell you why. My husband studied theology and it was astounding how high in the university system total unbelievers can climb, in the theology department, mind you. They know the languages and the literature and the theories but they didn’t know the Author. And because God literally hides Himself from these kind, they actually understood less truth than believers. That’s the problem with those men designate as authorities. Heaven has a different rating system. So I’m impressed with a person who knows God to a greater degree or in ways I don’t. From them I learn.

I am aware that the chapters and verse numbers were added in later, But consider this, All translations are translated from manuscripts that the Masoretes added vowel marks, and without those marks, it would be IMPOSSIBLE to distinguish what word is being said.

This example barely scratches the surface of a whole body of work that Proves this is the method by which the Almighty Encoded His Word.
