By Jesus Christ death upon the cross as our[His Church] Substitute, the Son of God paid our[His Church] debt, made atonement for our[His Church]sins, and redeemed us[His Church] from the curse of the law by making satisfaction to Divine justice for us[His Church].

Its just as Christ dishonoring to His Saving Death to say that His death saved no one apart from their believing, as to say His death saved no one apart from their good works of charity, or keeping the law, or water baptism. 24

Christ death is a saving death because those for whom He died, or suffered, it brings them to God. That means it effects conversion to God 1 Pet 3:18

18 For Christ also hath once suffered[or died] for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Those He died for, likewise will be quickened by the Spirit. Thats what begins their conversion or being brought to God.

Christs Death obtained Salvation for them He died for, His Body the Church. 1 Thess 5:9-10

9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

10 Who died for us,
that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

Please notice in this passage of Holy Scripture, in contrast to them whom God has appointed to wrath, these have been granted to obtain Salvation by means of the Lord Jesus Christ who died for them.

This obtaining Salvation denotes not a mere possibility of Salvation, but the application of Salvation, everything done unto them for the saving of the soul, full Salvation, which begins in this life, culminating but not ending into final everlasting glory,

Isa 45:17

17 But Israel shall be saved in the Lord[Jesus Christ] with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.

This is foundationed on and resultive of Christ dying for them !

Christ did so much more than dying for sin and making Salvation possible or available to all mankind, that's such a false teaching, However what He did do for them He died for, Gods Elect, He absolutely put away their sin before God Heb 9:26

26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

The words put away means:

  1. abolition, disannulling, put away, rejection

He cancelled their sins, made them non and void.

Like Daniel stated He made and end of them Dan 9:24

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

And so consequently, them for whom this has been done for, no charge of sin can be laid charged against them, not even unbelief/disobedience. 24

Christ did so much more than dying for sin and making Salvation possible or available to all mankind, thats such a false teaching, However what He did do for them He died for, Gods Elect, He absolutely redeemed them from the curse of the Law Gal 3:13

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Thats Salvation, for sin finds its curses because of the Law 1 Cor 15:56

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

The law nor sin can condemn any sinner Christ died for.

Paul is saying the law nor sin can condemn Christ. That's his only point, because in Gal.3:13, Paul is quoting Deu.21:23, but only the provision allowed for capitol punishment is,

if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, Deu.21:22

So Paul means our Lord suffered being lied about.

Obedience to God is "Christ dishonoring"?

Paul is teaching that we're saved because Christ patiently endured slander, instead of passing judgement on liars.

brightflame52,
I've asked a few people if they realize that Jesus was being sinned against. Do you realize this?

Paul is saying that by Christs death they had been redeemed from the curse of the law. Thats Salvation, to be redeemed from the curse !

This thread is about the saving death of Christ, when He died, those He died for were redeemed from the curse of the Law, thats Salvation Gal 3:13

Do you realize that ? Do you believe that ?

I do realize that Paul said "Jesus became a curse for us", but the problem is, it's contrary to what the law and prophets said. The law specifically forbids killing the innocent. The prophets said, to kill the innocent is an abomination to God.

So Paul can only mean our Lord was sinned against. Our Saviors' decision to endure sin, instead of enforcing the law, shows mercy, not justice.

There is no problem. So if Christ became a curse for people, and redeemed them from the curse of the Law, what is the problem ? He saved people from hell by His death.

The problem is, by the word of God, an innocent man cannot be made a curse.
He saved people from hell by His death.
Right. Our Savior decided not to bring those who sinned against him into judgment.
They sinned against him by conspiracy, by false testimony, by saying he committed sin worthy of death, by saying God forsook him, by thinking he was a curse.

Do you believe Jesus Christ died for the sins of others ? Yes or No

Do you believe Jesus Christ died for the sins of others ? Yes or No
In order to show the long suffering God has toward those who sin against him, yes. Otherwise no.
Can you see that what men did to Gods' Son is disgusting to God? Are you a parent? Wouldn't you be filled with rage if someone attacked your child for no good reason?

Who of you doth convict me of sin? Jn.8:46

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. Jn.8:29
