What do you think was God`s Purpose in making - the Nations, Israel and the Body of Christ?

Good scripture for Israel. Christ came as King of Israel legally of the line of David. Thus, His rulership over Israel will function in the millennium and new earth.

`I, Jesus,....am the Root and Offspring of David,....` (Rev. 22: 16)

`Christ,..... in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom & knowledge.` (Col. 2: 3)
Christ is the king of kings and lord of lords, over all nations on earth.

Christ is the king of kings and lord of lords, over all nations on earth.
And another good scripture.

Jesus came to earth and became the second Adam. As such He legally took back dominion of the earth which Satan had usurped.

`Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the Nations! ` (Rev. 15: 3)

I'm not sure what you're getting at in this post regarding New Heavens and New Earth, as I'm not in a habit of speculating and fantasizing a utopia beyond the prophetic visions in the bible. As for the purposes for the nations and Israel, it is already explained in Deut. 32:8-9 that the nations are the sons of God's portions, Israel is God's portion. This is not about modern state of Israel, though it's certainly a significant part of it; it's about the Commonwealth of Israel, aka Body of Christ, and spiritual Jews per Paul's definition in Rom. 2:27-29.

Thank you CHN for discussing with me.

I was wondering how much people knew of God`s eternal purposes for -

1. The Nations - on the new earth. (Rev. 21: 24)
2. Israel - ruling over the nation in the millennium and new earth.
3. The Body of Christ - ruling with Christ on His own throne in the third heaven.

Sorry if I didn`t make myself clear enough for you to respond.

You might have conflated the Millenial Kingdom with the Eschaton (i.e. new heavens and new earth). In the millennial kingdom, the tribulation saints will reign with Christ, regardless of nationality or ethnicity; in the eschaton, ALL nations, as one Body of Christ without distinction, walk on the golden street bathed in the light of the Lamb.

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. (Rev. 20:4)

Each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. (1 Cor. 3:13-15)

(Just a correction - I wrote `second Adam` back further it should have been `last Adam.` (1 Cor. 15:45)

And thank you for pointing out the trib. saints who will be ruling in the millennium on the earth.

I can see the Old Testament saints in the city, (Heb. 11: 16) the 144,000 priests of Israel, and the 12 apostles ruling over Israel. (Matt. 19: 28)

The Body of Christ is with the Lord on His own throne in the third heaven. (Rev. 3: 21)

My hypothesis is that the ten talent and five talent servants reigning over the one talent servants, the wise virgins reigning over the foolish virgins, the profitable believers whose work passes the test of fire reigning over the unprofitable believers whose work doesn't, regarding the "reigning with Christ".

Dear bro, we don`t have to hypothesis for God`s word tells us to whom He is speaking. The Lord is speaking to Israel about their future.

Then when the Lord ascended to the Father and was made Head of the Body. It is then that He tells us about our future.

But God's word does not tell us who's BEING reigned by Christ and the saints with a rod of iron in the millennial kingdom. The only distinction in Revelation is the inhabitants of the earth and the martyrs of Christ.

Yes the `sheep` nations of the earth.

Alright, so be it. But I'd like to add that "my brethren" in that reference is not the 12 ethnical tribes of Israel, nor the modern state of Israel, but the disciples, in other words, the Body of Christ, defined by Jesus himself.

But He answered and said to the one who told Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.” (Matt. 12:48-50)

Good connection there CYN.
So, do you believe that the Body of Christ will go through the trib, or will those `disciples` be those who turned to God during the trib?

According to famous rapture verses 1 Thess. 4:16-17, the dead will rise first, the living will be caught up with Christ, and both united with Christ forever. I believe this is scheduled at the END of the tribulation, as Jesus taught in the Olivet Discourse; WITHIN the body of Christ, the Gentiles are the dead, waiting for resurrection during the tribulation, those are the souls crying out for vengeance in the fifth seal after the four horsemen judgement; the Jews will be preserved for those three and a half years, they are the living ones.

Yes, I agree that Jesus, by the two men in white apparel, told the disciples that He would return in the same way - to the mount of Olives. However, that was to those in Israel. We see this fulfilled in Zech. 14: 4. This was written to the Jews.

When Jesus ascended to the Father, He told His Body that He would return for them to the air. (1 Thess. 4: 17)

Yes, to the remnant Jews only. We'd be long gone by then.

Marilyn C, do you mean to say that Jesus' second coming is divided into two separate events? I don't think so. I think that both Zechariah 14:4 and 1 Thessalonians 4:17 will happen in the same event, Jesus' second coming. Witness the new Jerusalem coming down out of heaven in Revelation 21-22 with all the names of the Apostles and the tribes of Israel written on it. It is a symbolic portrayal of the whole people of God, as in Revelation 5:9-10:

Rev 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,
Rev 5:10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.”
