Ok, well those are good answers. We oppose the same things you do, including here on this forum. I'm pretty outspoken against the whole gay pride agenda and so are others. But what we are up against is sweeping corruption in the government going back many decades, and 24/ 365 brainwashing in the US media that paints the LGBTQ crowd as this poor, helpless, put upon and persecuted segment of society that the evil Christians are causing to despair of life and commit suicide, and it will increasingly be used against us as a weapon to take away our free speech, just as it will in Europe.

Would I prefer to be in an EU country regarding this issue? You bet your life I would. But we are here, so we have to deal with the hand we have been dealt, and it is much tougher than the one you are facing. This is why I'm telling you not to overdo it with the whole "we are morally superior" tenor. That may not be your intention, but after awhile it starts to come off like that. Walk a mile in our shoes rather than telling us we need to walk in yours, cuz the enemy is not simply going to relinquish political control here. If he has his way, he will eventually run this country completely into the ground, financially and morally, and when he's done doing it to us he's coming after you.

I've spent most of the time on this thread being told that countries where Orthodoxy is dominant are LESS Christian than the USA, and despite providing statistics to the contrary I was mocked and told this was wrong. Orthodox countries ARE morally superior, because they don't tolerate this LGBT nonsense like the US does. So please consider this before you want to tell me how the USA is so much more Christian than Romania, Greece, or Georgia.

Where have I said that? I'm saying the entire discussion is divisive, and this post is proof of it.

Show me where I have posted anything resembling what you just said, then where others have. I'd like to see it. But you're not going to find it in my posts before you even start.

I'll let her answer for herself, but she was referencing Italy and the UK specifically. She never mentioned Russia, Rumania or the Ukraine, so she may have been referring to Western Europe.

As for Free, WIP and myself (and others), we were not arguing against the conclusions of the OP but against the premise that the US is even very Christian at all anymore. If anything our posts fall into agreement with the OP rather than argue against it, though we were each telling you the matter is more complex. That's a different thing than taking one of the two sides designated by the OP and then arguing for or against.

Lana, understand. You are discussing matters with adults on this forum. Nearly all the people you are interacting with are at least four times your age. Don't assume someone is arguing against you simply because they take issue with the premise you present. They are trying to show you there may be more to it than just "which is true, A or B?" (something I told you in my very first sentence, and am still trying to communicate to you).

If you are asking me what my conclusion is, yes. Without even looking, the OP is with all likelihood true. It was prophesied decades ago (early 80s) that while the former communist countries were increasingly embracing freedom, the West and especially the States would become increasingly socialist, and that prophecy has come to pass and is still coming to pass. So why would I doubt the OP? Like I said, I'm an adult, and I've been around.

But I would again caution against making it a question of moral superiority, because nearly 100 years ago much of the EoC countries began their descent into atheistic communism, and you would not have been able to make the arguments you can make today. It's simply the effects of time, and humanity on one side of the globe learning their lesson about rejecting God while the other side is about to.

There's also a reason WHY these countries became Communist so readily, whilst Marx' country of origin (Germany) did not. The same reason Orthodox countries resist secularism is the same reason the embraced Communism. But again this brings us off topic.

When persons refer to Europe they usually mean Western Europe.
The countries I posted as being atheist are in Western Europe...not familiar with Eastern Europe.

I've explained this to LanaPodesta but it hasn't helped.

I'm sorry she feels so upset but i cannot do anything more.

I respect her opinion but will not be contributing further to this thread.
