We need to love the murderer, rapist and mobster!

God loves people enough to give them chances, but He hates sin and bad guidance and influence.

Hopefully they put them in with like minded people.
The system (of the world/ justice/ health/ etc) is not right, true nor just. Bribery is overwhelmingly rampant and "accepted" as necessary (by the wicked who greatly outnumber the righteous.

Seek the Creator - agree with the Creator - hate who He Declares He Hates, Love as He Says to Love, always obey Him, no matter what.

I dunno 🤷

Jesus Christ saves…individuals. Thankfully this includes people with shady and or criminal backstories. And also…

Since most people who end up in jail and or prison will one day be back in society it stands to reason that they should be treated as citizens who need rehabilitation not un fixable deviants who need to be hardened and punished non stop 🛑.

I dunno 🤷‍♂️ just…statistically…some groups of people seem more likely to benefit from rehabilitation than others. Stealing a car 🚙 at a young age is different from repeatedly abusing family members for instance. I’m not a fan of mental hospitals 🏥 but I do think 💭 that some people should probably be kept out of society possibly indefinitely in humane conditions. Rehabilitation may not always be possible but confinement needs to be humane…

  • Two-thirds (2/3) is exactly twice as much as one-third (1/3).
  • So yes, it’s greater, but not “greatly more” in the sense of overwhelming magnitude—it’s precisely double.
We would use the word greatly in terms of the remnant or 10%.

This is a ridiculous statement. Going to the extreme one would let these guys baby sit their children or hold their money for safe keeping. God does NOT love them; rather, His eternal wrath (hatred) is upon them. Their actions show they are far from God, and sons of Satan.
  • John 3:36 He that believeth [the elect] on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son [the unelect] shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (KJV)
  • Romans 1:18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.
  • Hebrews 12:29 God is [indeed] a consuming fire.
  • 1 Peter 3:12 “For the eyes of the Lord are [looking favorably] upon the righteous (the upright), And His ears are attentive to their prayer (eager to answer), But the face of the Lord is against those who practice evil.”
I grant that there are occasion exceptions in which a guy turns their act around but this happens seldomly.

Amos 3:3 Two cannot walk together unless they are agreed. If you're "walking" with a murderer, rapist, mobster ..... then you are agreed.

In Psalm 139 16 we see that at or before conception God gives us all of our gifts, talents and abilities that makes us unique individuals. Only we choose if we want to honor God or not. We choose if we want to be the person He created us to be.

Where does love and hate come into this. All the children in Heaven without exception want to be reunited with their parents. They do not want anything anymore than that. But in the case of abortion if the parents do not repent they are not going to be united with their child.

I am not sure I understand love and hate and what God's plan and purpose is and what that has to do with God's desire for us to make a choice and to choose life.

God is a God of Justice even to the point where His own Son Jesus had to go to Calvery. We see this in the story of Abraham where God provided the sacrifice for him.

he has a point here .

True enough. We do choose ... .and we choose according to the will we were given for you don't select your desires (will) for if you did, who would choose to have a 'sin nature'. You mentioned before conception we are given gifts ... I agree, scripture points out tin Psalm 51:5 "I was brought forth in [a state of] wickedness; In sin my mother conceived me [and from my beginning I, too, was sinful]". (AMP) .... we didn't choose to be in a state of wickedness, but that state being given to us, it determines our subsequent chooses unless our will be changed by God. NO ONE SEEKS GOD ... occasionally, God seeks (regenerates) the individual.

I am not sure I understand love and hate
God;s "Love" is:
a volition to favor according to the degree of Divine likeness of the Object
God’s love is a passionless, immutable, holy (separated from evil, ethical Habakkuk 1:13b You cannot look on wickedness with favor, 1 Corinthians 13:6 Love rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth) disposition to favor (goodwill, benevolence, and willful delight,) according to the ethical loveliness and divine likeness of the object which is a “bond of unityper Colossians 3:14 for everything is bound together in agreement when each one seeks the best for others); God himself and those “in Christ” being bonded in agreement.
God's Love
is easily measured by the amount one God blesses an individual.
God's Hate (Wrath/Anger) is:
Strictly speaking, wrath is not an attribute of God’s nature but is his “holy justice against sin”. Joel Beeke Job 35:7 “If you are righteous, what do you give God, or what does He receive from your hand? 8 “Your wickedness affects only a man such as you, And your righteousness affects only a son of man [but it cannot affect God, who is sovereign]”; Job 22:2-3
God's Hate is easily measured one spending 99.99999% of their existence in hell.

I dunno 🤷‍♂️

I’ve not been in legal trouble for over 10 years now. I’m thankful 🥲 for Jesus Christ and for my parents…

I don’t think 🤔 that it’s necessarily the individual alone who is deviant and off the rails. Family systems and communities can be huge helps or huge contributors to bad outcomes. Having said that…

I have a serious misdemeanor conviction on my record. In my state it’s called a class A misdemeanor and all class a misdemeanors can result in up to 3 years in prison. I was given probation and haven’t been arrested since I bonded out over 12 years ago now so…

I dunno 🤷‍♂️ people can and do change…or in my case are changed and mature in Christ following genuine conversion…

But I understand limitations on reintegration into society and even as a Christian there’s a limit to how close I would personally get to another believer if that believer had a really bad past. And yet…

I also think that being involved with a believer with a history of incarceration etc is a calling for some believers. At the same time…

Just…from observations etc…some people really do better not in society. It’s not just violent crimes either. Some people really do belong in places if confinement for their own good and for the common good as well.

They are betting that you will violate your probation so that will make it a lot easier to put you in jail. Look at OJ and his million dollar defense. They did not have the evidence and the jury would not convict because of that.

Later on O.J. Simpson served nine years in a Nevada prison after being convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping in 2008. Something that most people would have gotten probation over but he went to jail for a long time because he had gotton off on the first charge.

I had a situation once where I drove a while with no drivers licence. I was very very careful not to break any laws so they did not have a reason to pull me over.
