What could be worse! My team is the Jets. And usually the networks let me watch. The pain they put me through.
Is it possible your fan base is below NFL requirements to air the game; especially in sub zero with snow? If people stay home they're losing money selling their hot dogs, beer, and rental parking. They know when they have suckers and are willing to push buttons to get your attention. If they make it to the playoffs I believe advertising near requires them show the game to get the largest viewer base, or you could attend the game.

No. Your right. The refs deside half the games. I wouldn't pay much attention cept im in a rotis football league with most of my family (14 teams). Keeps me in touch with them. Plus the money I make. Easy pickens
