  • My dad was paralyzed and had numerous medical issues relating to that and being bed-ridden. He was one of the strongest Christians I've ever known, and I know that must have been a hard position to be in.
My mom has a hernia and will be getting surgery to correct in a couple of months, plus she has back problems and has to take a blood thinner to avoid getting blood clots. Is she lacking in faith? I seriously doubt it.
I have some minor medical issues. Some concerns with blood pressure and cholestrol. I have lactose intolerance, which means I need to take some tablets whenever I eat dairy. Which are completely natural, BTW. They simply provide my digestive system with the enzyme that is needed to digest lactose.
(Reached my character limit, so will continue in another visitor message.)
I won't get involved in a discussion that will only irritate me.
A lot of medicine is made from things that are natural, that God made. Why would that be wrong? The medical system isn't perfect, and new ways to improve are always being thought of. I even think some alternative medical practices and medicines can be good, in some instances.
Yeah...I don't see any Scriptural support for the claims made there at all. Nothing that actually says not to use medicine...Paul even told Timothy to take something for stomach problems.

My dad would have died a lot sooner without medical assistance. He had tons of medical issues.
I can't use really high heels either, I have had feet problems for years and so if it is too tall my feet really do not appreciate it. But if they are 2-3 inches it is usually okay.
Ah, yes I have found that. I have even known a woman who has said "I don't worry about theology, my husband does that". Yeah, I just love boots, though the only pair I have are short boots that feel like they are always on backwards, but they are good for whenever we have a bonfire at church. I love the tall boots with heels though.
I definitively do know what I think and want, which I have found there are many people who don't like that. ;) Ah, I did see that. She seems to be doing a good job, and now I am wondering what her boots look like.
Thank you for your concern! I am not upset, because I know that person does not have in basis in what they are telling me and they don't even know me, it is just annoying when people say things like that and I am trying to get them to see before they really hurt one of their friends.
Hi farouk! I'm doing well. Hope you are well too. Thanks for the message! God bless :D
Yeah, legalism is bad, but I agree that it is good for each family to have some guidelines but you should not judge others by your (your as in people in general) own guidelines.
Yes, we should not be legalistic but at the same time we shouldn't be like "I have freedom so I can do XY&Z", if you know what I mean. I usually wear skirts around the knee as well, just because I feel more comfortable in them and I like them better on me. Yes, He does start inwardly but I think it should also have an effect outwardly. I am not saying either pants or skirts are better, but modesty is important.
I thought Davis, Kaileymarie, and Edward had some really good posts. I would of posted more on the topic but I did not want to keep it off topic too much. Classik is wrong about long skirts being clumsy, I don't like them too often for myself but I know a lot of girls (including two of my sisters and mom) who love them and are very graceful in them. Just because he has seen some girls clumsy in them does not mean most girls are.
Well Caroline acts a lot more like an adult than some 18-25 year olds, so we all think of her as one.
Yeah, and that is great, but I would want to be able to switch Bible verses all the time because there are so many good ones! And then there is also the fact if there is an occasion where you don't want ink on your skin you can't wash it off and reapply it later.
Ah, yeah. I would never do good with any tattoo because I would always want to be changing it, but with just using a marker, maybe permanent so it does not wash off the first day, you could change it all the time and I could do the art myself!
Do you mean my blog post about the Palm Project? I do tend to draw on my hands when I am bored though, the other day I did and did not realize it was a permanent marker. Thankfully it has finally washed off.
Thank you. I have not posted on it much lately due to the holidays and brain fog but I hope to get a couple posts written today.
