    The downey jr movies are good for a bit of fun if you don't take them too seriously. I love the BBC modernized version intensely. Despite being modern day, it's incredibly loyal to the original stories with loads of intricate references for people who have read the canon to pick up on. On top of that, it's well shot and brilliantly acted and written... To be honest, I'm all for anything that makes people pick up the books. The BBC version made me do it...
