Isaiah 10:22
For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea,
yet a remnant of them shall return:
the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
I stood upon the sand of the sea and beheld………… the sand; the innumerable multitudes of the sand of the sea. At first sight, the sand itself wasn’t very spectacular. As the sand lay still it was not the sand that caught the eye, but rather the trash that was amongst the sand.
I looked again and still, the sand was rather unspectacular: innumerable grains of sand packed together firmly to form one beach. Then the Lord said reach out thine hand and stir up the sand before thee and then tell me what you see. And I reached my hands into the sand and stirred it before me, and then appeared to me the grains of sand. The multitudes of them: brown sand and black, mixed with red sand and white, with other unique colors in their midst.
And I considered as I stood upon the sand of the sea in the warmth and glory of the light of the sun, that the same and yet unspectacular sand revealed none of its character until it had become stirred and disturbed. It was then that the brilliance of the sun shone forth upon the sand and revealed its character, why some of them even seemed to sparkle with their own brilliance. These were more unique, for they were more translucent, as a crystal, they held the glory of the sun as they lay amidst the sand; And yet for all their brilliance, they held no light of their own, but only that which was given unto them.
I stood upon the sand of the sea and beheld………… the sea. I watched as the waves rolled up over the sands and then receded back out again. I saw that after the water had passed over, that all the sands seemed to shine with a brilliance as the glory of the sun shown upon it. With each wave of water the sands were cleansed and left to shine forth with a residue in the brilliance of the sun, and yet this too was temporary, for soon the waters pulled themselves back and the sand left to dry in the sun, only to show once again that which was seen before as rather unspectacular.
I walked forth upon the sand of the sea and danced with the waves of water. With every step I stirred up the sand beneath me, imprinting myself upon its form; And yet as the waters passed over but just a few times, the sands were restored and any evidence of my disturbance washed away. I saw in the waves the power of thy cleansing, and in the residue left upon in the sand I saw the shining glory of the sun. As I stirred the sand before me with my hand, I saw crystals clothed in the light of the sun. I saw birds bow before thy presence.

As I stood upon the sands of the sea I considered the sun and the moon and the stars; and the powers of the heavens over the waves as the waters march forth and then recede once again. And I wondered; as I looked to the sand that stood furthest from the sea, it seemed untouched by the waters and in places looked to be overrun. But then again the sand that stood closest to the sea was consumed by the sea, drown beneath the waters.
I stood upon the sand of the sand of the sea and beheld……. not the sand of the sea; I beheld the light that shone upon the sand of the sea.
As the sun sets upon the day, shadows overtake the sand until darkness settles in. And then I stood upon the sand of the sea and beheld…….. the stars of heaven make their appearance.
My day with the Lord was a thousand steps away, and a thousand steps away I stood upon the sand of the sea and beheld……
