[__ Prayer __] Revival is breaking out !

I see many different people speaking against the revival taking place at Asbury, trying to frame what God is doing in a negative light.

There will always be those who believe the gifts of the Spirit, healings, signs and wonders and the baptism with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, are just manifestations of the devil, and therefore any revival that has these things is just emotionalism, and demonic.

Although there are thousands being saved, and repenting and returning to God, there will always be those who just can’t stand what is going on because the worship style is different than their Church.


And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
Acts 2:17-18

I knew this would come up.
The queer person who is involved is an acquaintance I am familiar with. He is like me: a celibate gay. He believes that God does not bless same sex unions and that people who are gay/same sex attracted are called to a life of singlehood and chastity. People are simply mad that he and I will use the word "gay" instead of just saying we're "same sex attracted", even though those terms mean the exact same thing.

It is very telling when people will try to bar people like me from worship or consider us being involved a "bad sign" over a condition we cannot help. Oh no, we also find our joy in the Lord, how awful.

Stop misrepresenting what I have said. If you need to, go back and reread everything I’ve posted. And i didn’t post it to prove anything. It’s just an interesting observation and people need to be aware as this could cause an outbreak.

It may not be anything to do with this acquaintance. It could be that there are those who are pro-LGBTQ+ in the wrong sense that are affirming of what is going on. I admit that that is not clear but seems to be suggested in the video. This might be more what is being referred to, from a pro-LGBTQ+ affirming, pro-abortion affirming organization:

Well, there are some who are SSA that say otherwise, that "gay" is affirming of practicing homosexuality, whereas SSA is not.

I do know that videos have been made about my friend here, that point at him and say "see? the LGBTQ is involved, therefore this revival is fake and wrong"
One even interviewed him, promised to be "respectful", and STILL misrepresented him in their final video.

Some, yes. Others view the language of "SSA" as being pathologizing and degrading. Regardless, people focus on this too much and it is ultimately a red herring or an easy way to denounce someone who is saying something important.

Then it wrong for that to be done to him and those Christians will be held accountable to God for doing it.
