I tend to be a pessimistic person based on what my dad said when I asked if the world is getting worse each day (And also based from this test.). Yeah, a very negative-minded person I can be.I can say without taking it that I'm pretty optimistic, but not by nature. I think it's because of the Holy Spirit within me, and the fact that He governs my heart and mind. I don't let myself think very negatively for long anymore.

No, I think he believed that the world is getting better or something, and I said the opposite, which made my father say: "Why are you pessimistic??". Can you blame him though? Not really, and even though it is true, I was more negative about it.Well, he was right that the world is getting worse.
So basically, I have to be more dedicated in faith, so I can be better, yes?which gets easier the more you give your life to God. At least it did for me, anyway.

Well saidI don't know if I make sense to others in this regard and I hope I don't sound like a looney for what I am about to say, but for me it's not about optimism or pessimism, it's about trusting in God's plan for us.
Our country's infrastructure is in disrepair, corruption is rampant, and nothing is seemingly being done about it, but I am not hoping for things to get better, nor resigning myself to a bleak future where the infrastructure has completely collapsed.
I pray that God's will be done and trust that whatever we have to face, is God's plan and wherever we have a hand and a say in the matter that God will guide us on the right path and will bless us in everything we do. If it is God's will that we suffer for our sins till we turn back to Him, then so be it.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Amen
At 16, I think you're off to a better start than I was. In 2004, I wasn't thinking about God at all.I tend to be a pessimistic person based on what my dad said when I asked if the world is getting worse each day (And also based from this test.). Yeah, a very negative-minded person I can be.
You're such a pessimist.
