  • Focus on the Family

    Strengthening families through biblical principles.

Focus on the Family addresses the use of biblical principles in parenting and marriage to strengthen the family.

That verse has an interesting but puzzling context:
Pro 30:4 Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name? Surely you know!
Pro 30:5 Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
Pro 30:6 Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar.

It's hard for me to understand what the writer of this proverb is driving at in verse 4. Of course, the Scriptures give names to the Persons of the Trinity: Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Jesus is called Immanuel, Christ or Messiah, and Lord. Why do you have to have more names than the Bible gives them, or do you?
I want not to have more names, but to know and glorify the true and original names as Our Creator wants us to. In the Bible, the Father has the name "Yahweh" which was replaced by "the LORD". You can find it out doing a simple investigation. The original name of the Messiah is Yahshua (some argue it is Yeshua), but not Jesus. There are several Bibles printed using these correct original names (e.g., Holy Name Bible). The Bible repeats the importance of knowing and using both names.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

That is very close to Oneness/Modalism doctrine and certainly isn’t Trinitarian. Jesus is the name of the incarnate Son of God only. You diminish the Father and the Holy Spirit by saying they take the name of the Son, and sow confusion about the Trinity.

All the fullness of the Godhead dwelt in Him.

Another way we could say it is…

The name of God (Elohim) is the Name above all names.

The original Hebrew-Aramaic name of Jesus is Yeshua, which is short for Yehoshua (Joshua),

Amen.

What are the true names of the Father and the Son? Do you think it is important to know them?

"What is his name, and what is his son's name, If thou canst tell?" (Proverbs 30:4)
God's personal name is Yahwah and it means "Life Began."

Christ's personal name is Yahshua and it means "Yah's helper" or "Life's Helper."

Before Yahshua was born Yahshua he was called Peniel.

Yahwah reveals His name to Moses
Exodus 3:13-15.

13 And Moses said to Elohiym, “Suppose I go to the siblings of the Israelites and say to them, 'The Elohiym of your forefathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is His name?' What shall I say to them?”
14 And Elohiym said to Moses, “The Living that Lives. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'The Living has sent me to you.”
15 And Elohiym also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, 'Yahwah, the Elohiym of your forefathers; the Elohiym of Abraham, the Elohiym of Isaac and the Elohiym of Jacob has sent me to you.' That’s my name forever, the name by which I’m to be remembered, from generation to generation.”

Yahwah means "Life Began." Translation is from the Aramaic, not Hebrew. The Rabbi's changed the Hebrew language so God's name can not be spoken.

God's personal name is Yahwah and it means "Life Began."

God personal name is Yahweh and it means in Hebrew "I will be who I will to be" or "He who exists", according to most scholars.
Christ's personal name is Yahshua and it means "Yah's helper" or "Life's Helper."
Yes, Christ's name is Yahshua, but it means "Yahweh is salvation".

Before Yahshua was born Yahshua he was called Peniel.
Where does it say in the Scriptures?

Christ's personal name is Yahshua and it means "Yah's helper" or "Life's Helper."
God's name is YHWH or Yahweh. Jesus's name in Greek is Iēsous, and in Hebrew is Yeshua--there is no such name as Yahshua.

Before Yahshua was born Yahshua he was called Peniel.
Peniel is only mentioned as a city. Before Jesus was born he was known as both the Word and the Son of God.

Which of these names that you guys give to God makes the demons tremble? it would be a true test. if demons don't fear it ,it cant be right.

Yahweh is a misspelling of Yahwah. The ancient Hebrew language did not have an E vowel. Shua is the Hebrew call for help. (helper)

Yahwah
A note on the words hawah and hayah.

Quote from pages 217 and 218 of the Brown-Driver-Briggs. Ref # 3068-69 on page 217.
Brown-Driver-Briggs on page 218 states that, "Many recent scholars explain יהוה‎ as Hiph. of הוה equals היה "

הוה hawah / HWH is hawah.
היה hayah / HYH is hayah.

Note that the vowels are all " a."
יהוה Yahwah

The vowels are "a" in the Brown-Driver-Briggs, the NIV Exhaustive Concordance, and the Strong's Exhaustive Concordances.

The name Yahwah is from the Aramaic, not the Hebrew.

Genesis 32:30
So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “It is because I saw (a elohiym / God) face to face, and yet my life was spared.”
(elohiym) is a "god-s of The living One."

Chapter 40 Book of Enoch.
9 seen and whose words I have heard and written down?' And he said to me: 'This first is Michael, the merciful and long-suffering: and the second, who is set over all the diseases and all the wounds of the children of men, is Raphael: and the third, who is set over all the powers, is Gabriel: and the fourth, who is set over the repentance unto hope of those who inherit eternal life, is named Phanuel.'
Phanuel is a variant of Peniel.
Gabriel and Raphael are the "Two Witnesses" to come.

The scholars are not always faithful in their work.

As I have stated the translation comes from Aramaic and not Hebrew, because the Rabbi's changed the Hebrew language so God's name could not be spoken.

The Hebrew language did not have an E vowel until about the tenth century AD. Yahwah is the correct spelling, and Yahshua is the correct spelling.

Deliverer

Titus 2:13

13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our (deliverer / Saviour) Jesus Christ;

Strong's Concordance

sótér: a savior, deliverer

Original Word: σωτήρ, ῆρος, ὁ

Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine

Transliteration: sótér

Phonetic Spelling: (so-tare')

Definition: a savior, deliverer

Usage: a savior, deliverer, preserver.

Isaiah 43:11
I, even I, am (the Lord / Yahwah;) and beside me there is no saviour.

Hosea 13:4
Yet I am (the Lord / Yahwah) thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.

Yahshua is the deliverer, and Yahwah is our savior. The translators of our bible have been dishonest do to their personal beliefs.

What is the Name above all names?
Jesus is said to be the name above all names, but that is not the name of the Godhead. So, to say "The name of God (Elohim) is the Name above all names," it is not another way to say that "Jesus is the name that the Godhead chose to represent them." That is absolutely not biblical and to suggest such is to promote unbiblical Oneness/Modalism teaching. Jesus is the name of the incarnate Son of God only. You diminish the Father and the Holy Spirit by saying they take the name of the Son, and sow confusion about the Trinity.

Yahwah is God's personal name and Elohiym is one of His many titles.

Yahshua delivers us to Yahwah our Heavenly Father's hand to be saved.

John 10:29
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.

Only Yahwah is a true God

Yahwah does not acknowledge any other but Himself as God.

They will bow down before you and plead with you, saying, 'Surely God (El) is with you, and there is no other; there is no other god (Elohiym).' "

Isaiah 45:18. For this is what the LORD (Yahwah) says: He who created the heavens, He is God (Elohiym); He who fashioned and made the earth, He founded it; He did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited: He says: "I am the LORD (Yahwah), and there is no other.

Isaiah 45:22. "Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God (El), and there is no other.

Joel 2:27. Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the LORD (Yahwah) your God (Elohiym), and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed.

Yahwah is God and he won't give his glory to another god.

The Greatest Commandment

Mark 12:28. One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus (Yahshua) had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"

29. "The most important one," answered Jesus (Yahshua), "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord (Yahwah) our God (Elohiym), the Lord (Yahwah) is one (only).

Exodus 34:14

You shall not bow yourself down to another god. For Yahwah whose name is called upon is jealous, and is a jealous God.
