Should women wear headcoverings in church?

things like this in the Bible were written from a cultural perspective. Head covering was not only the "law of the land" but had spiritual significance in that culture. In the western world it is neither the law of the land or have spiritual significance unless you want to make it that.

Is God exempt from his own laws?

So, I’m going to play devil’s advocate a little with thisone. I’m also curious what all of your opinions are on this. Hopefully we can all learn something fromthis discussion. J We all know the commandment “Thou Shalt Not Kill†However, in the bible we see God kill all of humanity...

    Are video games corrupting kids?

Depends on the age...If I had a kid, I wouldn't let them play video games until they were smart enough to know the difference between games and reality. So, probably in their teens. However, many of the stories we see online about a kid killing his parents over a video game isn't because of...

Are Jack Van Impe's predictions Biblical?

You know...the scariest thing about Jack isn't that his followers blindly listen to him, make excuses for him despite his predictions being wrong. But the fact he actually believes what he's saying. A person who can make so many false predictions (hey Jack, weren't we supposed to be raptured...

You neglected to reply to the other posts....how he believed the rapture would come no later than 1980. How the WORLD would run out of food before then as well.

Dinosaurs – The Image of God?

We should keep in mind also that we have no idea how long Adam and Eve existed in the Garden....or the life that was outside of the garden.

Is faith or works necessary for Salvation ?

There is a reason why so many fall away from God who once claimed Him their Lord. I've seen it time and again....they fall away from God because after they got saved they didn't do ANYTHING with their faith besides praying here and there...they took no action with their faith. And so it faded.

Are Jack Van Impe's predictions Biblical?

"Now Nostradamus said that the king of Terror would appear September 1999. I believe Nostradamus knew his Bible and knew what the six day theory was, and so he could put it all together. Jack van Impe Presents. Dated: 5th October 1998" The year 2001 will see the start of the great...

Are Jack Van Impe's predictions Biblical?

What make things even worse is that he is a self PROCLAIMED prophecy prophet. And with so many failed predictions, he's proven himself to be false. (A true prophet is never wrong)

    Salvation by faith alone/only?

If someone claims Christ, but has no works to back it up...are they really saved? Because a new creation would crave to do the works of God. BY THEIR FRUITS YOU WILL KNOW THEM. Faith AND works go hand in hand. Works are the RESULT of being of the faith.

Are Jack Van Impe's predictions Biblical?

Oh, so..you are now saying the prophetic word of the holy spirit was...WRONG? I mean...he did say the Holy Spirit told him this...and then it didn't happen. You say because people were able to fix the computers...so people's actions changed the result of the prophecy...meaning the prophecy was...

Are Jack Van Impe's predictions Biblical?

I'm also going to respond to your question directly, so there is no misunderstanding. Where does he say the holy spirit told him anything that isn't in the bible? That's easy...he claimed the Holy Spirit told him about the Y2K disaster. Never happened. He used scripture to "prove" it would...

Are Jack Van Impe's predictions Biblical?

You don't seem to be understanding...or you just don't want too. He claimed the Holy Spirit told him about the Y2K "disaster" which ended up NOT being any kind of disaster at all. His OWN words incriminated him. Showing he made false predictions.

Dinosaurs – The Image of God?

I've always believed that dinosaurs existed during the time of Adam and Eve...outside of the Garden.

Are Jack Van Impe's predictions Biblical?

Here's a quote from one of Jack's shows about Y2k. He claims he received this message from the Holy Spirit. ...Jack: Rexella, I was going to make this video next year, around February, March. But the Holy Spirit awakened me a few months ago and warned me as to what was coming and that I...

Are Jack Van Impe's predictions Biblical?

We are not to listen to false prophets OR false teachers. The very fact that Jack Van Impe's "predictions" have been wrong so many times since the 70's proves he is a false teacher.

Should I be bored reading the Bible since I have read it through 3 times already?

If you are reading it straight through, yes. Of course it can get boring. You need to start picking it apart. Taking a lump of scripture...maybe a few verses and read it and meditate on it. Maybe find someone to talk to about it and God will teach you new things about scriptures you've read...
