    Was Paul always correct?

Isn't that missing the point? Is the question, why is the husband asking her to sin?

    Was Paul always correct?

So, why do you reject what that Living Being wrote to be as a guide for you?

    Was Paul always correct?

Question for another thread. When a man and woman enter into marriage, it is a willful decisions by both parts. In other words, Marriage is designed to be entered into because both parties "want to". Submitting to Leadership.

    Was Paul always correct?

Oh, how much easier it would be if I merely said to my wife "Obey me, regardless". Rather, I understand that my role of husband is to submit myself to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. As I do, I realize that my decisions are not about me, but about we - my family. What is harmful is when Trust...

    Was Paul always correct?

Paul is not addressing the public at large, he is writing to Christians. Yes, his message has implications for the public at large, but ultimately the Scripture was written to believers. So, I do not understand what you mean when you say "lots of men rob banks". Are you suggesting that a...

    Was Paul always correct?

elijah, If doubt is being cast on the Letters that Paul wrote to Christians to help them live the Christian Faith, how is it that you are willing to accept what Mark, Matthew, John, or Luke wrote? How do you know THEY got it right? If you do not fully understand what Paul wrote, why then...

    Was Paul always correct?

No thank you, I just had lunch. Ironic, somewhat, insulting others while at the same time attempting to suggest that Paul insulted women.

    Was Paul always correct?

What did you want addressed? As I read over it, it made sense to me and is a good understanding. Typically, that passage is used in regards to marriage. And I believe that there needs to be and should be unison in faith for marriage.

Is there Knowledge beyond the Bible?

    Do you have an example?

    Was Paul always correct?

Is not the Lord's voice apart of the Scriptures? I agree that we listen for the voice of God and the Holy Spirit instructs is understanding (note, that I did not say "our understanding" - it is not about ourselves, but about God). And you really did not address the bulk of my post.

    THE CHRISTIAN FUNDAMENTALISM...

Amg - we are humans. We have not conquered humanity. All faith traditions with the Christian faith have baggage that needs to be shed. Even the Catholic church (as one who identifies himself with the Anabaptist faith tradition, I used to have very hard feelings against the Roman Catholic...

    Was Paul always correct?

If the husband is submitting to the authority of Christ, then why would the husband encourage his wife to rob a bank?

Elijah, I addressed your misuse of the Psalm.

    Was Paul always correct?

Elijah, Who get's to decide what we should pick and choose to follow in Scripture? It is perhaps that you do not like what Paul wrote, because you do not fully understand what Paul wrote? Is it possible that cultural understandings NOW are clouding what Scripture says? Which influences...

    Where should we go???

Disney has different cruise packages. We went on a four day cruise. Left from Florida (we live in PA) and went to the bahamas for a day and Disney's own island (Castaway Key) for a day.

    Where should we go???

How about a Cruise? My wife and I did a Disney cruise and it was great.

    Was Paul always correct?

Nor is the Psalmist suggesting that we do such a thing, nor is God saying that we should. Rather, the Psalmist is crying out in anger because of the captivity. This is being intellectually dishonest with the Scriptures to pluck out a verse here or there and attempt to use it without...

Old Covenant or New Covenant and the Law

Interesting that it merely calls it the "old covenant".
