The title was obviously meant to be mockery, that's why they put gay in quotation marks. It's obvious Dr. Jeanson did not consider the two male mice to be gay when you read the entire article let alone his final statements on the matter:Tldr, scientist were able to conceive a mouse embryo with 2 sperm cells. Nothing about gay mice.

But given current culture in the West, I can understand why he put that in the title. Hidden In Him's follow up post to yours and miamited's post should be enough of an explanation of why AIG framed the title this way. Click-baity? Sure, maybe but relevant to the overall issue of social-political culture and the whole "two dads" stuff and/or denial of basic biology? Yes.
