Countdown? Is a bomb about to be denonated, or has it already been detonated? :confused
On facebook, twitter, yahoomessenger, etc everyone is talking about 11-11-11

So what is special about this? :dunno
Does it have a spiritual significance?
Does it have to do with history?

All I see is a soccer/football field with squads of 11 players each...and they are either in their 11th minute, or they only have 11 more minutes to go!

Wow! The 11th day of the 11th month of the year 2011. This occurs just once in life...and like other days...

Remembrance Day up here. I took the day off and was fortunate enough to see my grandfather on TV at the national memorial service in Ottawa.

Lest we forget. :salute
 
took my grandson to a veterans day.

loved it . i explained to him what a twenty one gun salute and the purple heart is.

World War 1 ended at 11am on Nov. 11. Hence 11.11.11

:lol...none at all. Just another thing to talk and write about. next year will have
12-12-12..Last year we had 10-10-10. before that 9-9-9 that was the year of the Cain on the Chinese calendar (Obscure political joke)

All these dates line up 100 years apart. I guess that's that the signification to it. So we'll see 11-11-11 again on Nov, 11 2111. We'll all be dead by then.

the only "true" 11-11-11 found on the gregorian calendar was in the 12th century. November 11th, 1111 AD

Sure!
There would be 12-12-12 too! 12 is an important number in the bible (the children of Israel, the disciples of Jesus...the are all 12)
