Gen 6:3
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
I was thinking about this verse
here some thoughts
has anyone reached 120
how many reached 120 or what percent reached 120
when this verse was recorded did it mean when one person reaches 120 or 1 %of population reach 120
it could have meant 50% of population reach 120
can this vers bee used to determine how close we are to Jesus's return
I found this Site
http://www.grg.org/calment.html
it has some good graphs if one scrolls down
any what are your thoughts

It makes me angry, that's what it does. Your whole post makes me angry, and it's not unjustifiable. You'd use a mountain of statistical scientific data about the incline of aging to demonstrate the soon to return of Jesus. But you made no determinations or even elude to "When he will return" or give us a ball park figure.

What really made me angry is how you dumped the owness on the reader, and you know I doubt you read all that site. Is it even Christian or have anything to do with Jesus return (It didn't look like it)

Anyway this is me typing mad.

After reading justonesteak response, I really don't care to go there, lol.
I don't see a connection between 120 and Jesus's return.
Back then, the environment wasn't as polluted as today.

Noah was 950 when he died, after the flood.
Sarah was 127
Abraham, 100, three score and 15 years, lol

Might check it out though.....

I was just throwing sthoughts out there, mankind has not reached a point where we can say we live 120 years yet. that said it may take mankind 50 more years before it can be said mankind lives for 120 years.
it could be some medical breakthrough and be 10 years.
It may be a vrese that mankind never reaches.
it may never come true that man lives 120 years is that possible that a verse does not come true in the bible?

i believe that's how long God gave man to repent the time it took Noah to build the Ark. 120 years pass and the Lord said times up and shut the door...

Okay,
We do have a lot of studies going on.
Maybe cancer and heart disease , and diabetes will be no longer, find cures for it.
Possible...

Is your name really turn or burn, as in turn to God or burn in hell.

I'm thinking about finding you now.

There really is no reason to get angry at all, as in this case the anger is just a symptom of pride. Do not let it control you. Also, as I have let others know, I don't put too much stock in end times conspiracies. Sure there are things we are to be watchful for, but not at the expense of living for Christ, and these kinds of things just distract us from how we should be living.

I try to use my anger constructively, hard to do but I'll learn how to shape my love with it.

I simply had a thought that everything in the bible is true and if man is to achieve 120 yrs. which he has not the then it would lead one to think we have a while to go. I read several threads here that have nothing to do with Christ.
I will be much more picky about my post, sorry for the distraction.

I do know some bible verses, and Jesus himself pointed out that not even he knew while on earth the day of his return.

So stop asking!

well it really is not your place to tell me what to ask.
And I did not ask when is the rapture I suggested it could be 10 yrs or 50 yrs from now.
You should pay more attention to what is posted before you act like the owner of the forum
You do not have to post in threads if they make it hard to control yourself.aggravate
sorry shelia

I think there was a woman in France who lived to 122, this was not all that long ago

People love to present theories on the timing the second coming of Christ and it's such a waste of time. Jesus told us in Matthew 24 what signs to look for before He returns as Matthew 24 is an outline of Revelations seven trumpets and vial judgements. No man knows when Jesus will return as only God knows. It's what we need to be doing before He does return that matters. We are the servants of God and must be about our Fathers business until Christ does return.

Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
