15 minutes or 15 days of sin.

I'm sorry you struggle with masturbation as a women. I believe that people were referring to it on this forum on this thread post from a male perspective because the person asking the questions was a male. Regardless you seem to have a lot of passion as a women so I invite you to expand on what part of the advice given was not applicable to your problem as a female with masturbation.

Great to see such an open conversation about the 'M word' because it s such a taboo which it shouldn't be.

I too struggle and make many excuses but i've learned that the word lust can also be described simply as a 'desire for sexual entertainment' and that's what I have to remind myself with; even if one does not have a history/problem with porn, even if one can relieve himself without any thoughts, it is almost impossible to separate the action from the motive: desire for sexual entertainment, which is the same thing as lust. And thus it's sin. And sin grows and leads to a desire to explore into illicit territory which leads to porn addiction, which destroys a man or woman and has life long consequences.

However for men there is a valid problem in that the body is designed with sexual needs (physically) which is a question that bothers me a lot. If a man has a history/problem with porn then theres no way to for him to be able to relieve himself without falling into sin. But for the man who has no such history, is there a grey area where it's ok? Given what I've already concluded I'm leaning towards saying no, there isn't a grey area but what do others think?

Ok wait a minute. First of all, from your last paragraph I just want to point out that a woman has sexual needs too. And I don't see how a "desire for sexual entertainment" is a sin. It's human nature to feel sexual desire. It's how you act on it that can make it a sin in my opinion. I mean, if we aren't supposed to have sex til we're married, then based on what you're saying, we shouldn't feel desire until then either. I'm just going to say it. I don't think masturbation is a sin. I'm sure God designed sex for marriage, but I think He also knew how hard it would be to wait, and so gave us a way to "hang in there". In actuality, it's not like it's any comparison to the real thing. You're not giving your self to anyone else and it doesn't require any kind of commitment. Clearly this is a male dominated thread, but oh well. Throw stones at me if you want, but that's what I believe.

I find it easier to say its a disputable matter and ask other Christians to respect your choices if some one can't muster basic respect for someone to have a respectful disagreement then it's on them just don't give others ammo to use aganst you.

I personally see no issues with porn while not popular the least someone can do is agree to disagree I feel porn is healtyer than drug abuse there is nothing in the bible about porn. That is my personal choice with my wife and nothing is secret or done solo, others are free to disagree.

Church doctrine has gone too far if people are contemplating drugs to alter how they were made and the church has become a cult

Would you rather spend 15 minutes relieving yourself and having it past you and not on your mind, or spend hours everyday feeling that tension for weeks, all worked up and it driving you mad! Which one is the obsession.

:oops

If you are feeling the tension, then you are listening to your body and your desire is driving you to do sin, for flesh is of sinful nature. Why don't you pray and listen to His Word?

(Jas 4:7) .. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
