That's cool Jason!

I think I was just reading something the other day in an article how moderate cardio workouts can actually eliminate mild asthma or at least reduce asthma attacks. :thumb

It's exactly three miles around my block, and a few months back it was everything I could do to make it around the block. Due to fatigue, my heart rate would be around 170+ toward the end (which I'm not supposed to do anymore) and I was short of breath. Tuesday I ran the block twice and only peaked at 160, and I wasn't short of breath! :thumb

Hey, what's bjj? :confused

Fembot,
What's a spinning class?

bjj is brazilian ju jitsu, the grappling side of mma(ufc)
i ahve found it has helped my back pains as well, bjj requires immense core strength.

Thanks jason!

I ran 6 miles Tuesday and 4.5 miles late last night and this morning I woke up with a back ache... Your right about the core, I need to work on my core a bit more because having a back ache isn't any fun.

I've got a 10 mile run Aug 22 and then I'm also doing the Detroit half marathon in Oct. (Hope to do the full marathon next year :praying ). A couple months ago I tried 10, I made it 9.5 miles and it took me three weeks to heal... Funny though, cause I'd rather go out and run 6 miles than do sit-ups :D

It's a group fitness instruction class where we ride stationary bikes and change the resistance so it's like we're going up and down hill.

That's cool. I'd like to get a treadmill for this winter. :thumb

try yoga if you can do it will help, much of bjj is yoga, as i will eventually go into that as well, just be careful with the mysticism , there are teachers who just do the exercises.

Yoga sounds good, except I don't have time for one more thing.

The run went well this morning! At 8:00 we had a thunderstorm move through that dumped a ton of rain and we had lots of lightning and thunder, but it settled down just before 9 so at least we didn't have to run in the rain. Except it was upper 60's and very, very humid.

The rain kinda missed up the equipment, so I don't have an exact time that I ran the 5k in, but I know it was under 27 minutes because after I crossed the line, I caught my breath, had some water, sat down and then remembered to stop my stopwatch and it read 27 minutes and my son told me that the clock said 23 minutes :lol My official time was like 29 minutes, but like I said, they had some technical difficulties :shrug

All in all, it felt good and considering my first five k a couple months ago, I only pulled 30:39, I'll take 27 :D
