After King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon exiled Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, to Babylon along with the princes of Judah and all the skilled craftsmen, the LORD gave me this vision. I saw two baskets of figs placed in front of the LORD's Temple in Jerusalem.

One basket was filled with fresh, ripe figs, while the other was filled with figs that were spoiled and could not be eaten.

"This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: The good figs represent the exiles I sent from Judah to the land of the Babylonians.

I have sent them into captivity for their own good. I will see that they are well treated, and I will bring them back here again. I will build them up and not tear them down. I will plant them and not uproot them.

I will give them hearts that will recognize me as the LORD. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me wholeheartedly.

"But the rotten figs," the LORD said, "represent King Zedekiah of Judah, his officials, all the people left in Jerusalem, and those who live in Egypt. I will treat them like spoiled figs, too rotten to eat.

This is spot on!:thumbsup

Of course and you're not?

because i i dont need too, inconsistent when the fig tree cursed also represents isreal!

think about the context you are saying it, hes not talking about isreal.

the leaves come first then the figs and you know the summer is nigh

what is the that saying the signs point toward his comming

ezekiel given the verses i state names the tribes.

so God is only going to restore judah?

that's not what ezekiel says no more two kingdoms.ONE ISREAL.

btw that jeremiac prophecy came to pass, look at history only judah goes back, none of the north kingdom and where did they come from babylon or sushan as well.

but none from egypt.

The reason Jesus did not stay when He came two millennia ago was because people killed him and didn't want Him. He does not stay where He is not welcome and does not want to return to a world where people will just try to kill Him again. He is not interested in bumping heads endlessly with unregenerates (Tit. 3.5) and an unregenerated world (Is. 11.6-9; Matt. 19.28; Rom. 8.19-23). So Jesus lets people have their way to see that we can't do it without Him. We are about to destroy ourselves when 1/3 of the people of the earth are going to die in nuclear holocaust (Rev. 9.18) and 200 million will be fighting in the middle east over oil (v.16). Only then will Jesus return when people will finally listen. Troy Brooks

This is stated as if God did not have the plan of salvation in place.

he posted that?

like jesus didnt know who wouldnt come to him.

Seems we like HEAD LINES over the body of the story.

I dont find a scripture that tells me to search, look, wonder, and carry on , for some antichrist.

Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
But this is what happens when Revelation is taken out of it's context and painted as a doom and gloom story instead of painting a picture of His glorious victory in the end! :yes

Also, for the newbies here, I do not like date setting. So, don't be alarmed if I come down on the date setters at times. :lol

the fig tree cursed also represents isreal!

Yes, the outward appearance of Israel is false. He turned over the tables of the money changers and rebuked the Pharisees of Israel.

I am glad you can't show it.

Nose, I have not a clue to what you are saying

Whenever the fig tree and its sprouting leaves are used as an analogy it is always referring to Israel.

Every single time.

not really.

where is the fulfillment of that posted prophecy?

when its the ten tribes coming back to the land.

its clearly stated that the tribes comes back.

ezekiel 37

16Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions:

17And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.

18And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?

19Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

20And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.

21And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

22And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

23Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

24And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

25And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

26Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

27My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

28And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

when has verse 22 happened

what is the difference between a jew and isreali. do you even know that the word jew is a hate word?

used by the babylonians for the person from JUDEA.

we dont call ourselves jews all that often its hebrew, we dont write in jewish but hebrew.

learn the ot.

even if that fig tree is the prophecy of the return when has that been fulfilled?

it hasnt yet the jews are coming back but none knows his or her tribes.

so we dont know which is which, could these jews be of the northern kingdom?

no way to know, god only knows but they havent come forth or he hasnt stated who they are.

when if you take isreal to come back that way its must be supported by the ot.

i will even say all that jesus did was supported by the entire ot.

prophecies as well.they are all there.

not really.

where is the fulfillment of that posted prophecy?
Israel became a nation 1948. Ezekiel's prophecy on his side for 390 days and 40 on the other take us to exactly May, 1948.

its not isreal!

isreal calls herself a JEWISH state.not a isreali state.

YOU need to learn alot about isreal, try asking the local jews in the synagouge or actually a cufi site and the jewish newpapers and or the isreali govt site.

fact at present there are more ARABS in isreal then jews!

fact these arabs are often christians!

The true Jew is a Christian.

but that isnt what you are discussing here, you claim the temple is being rebuilt and that the end is near cause of the isreali nation.

is the temple the way to the lord for the christian?

is the law the way to salvation.

all i'm asking is if you have heard if the entire nation of isreal is to be gathered (both kindgmoms ere the rise of the ac or building of the temple)

a valid question as that ezekiel prophecy is very specific.

both kingdoms as one and then the rule of the lord in jersusalem

a hint at what the millenial reign is and what the lord will do with isreal.

That is what I am talking about. The true Jew is the Christian does not pose a problem that God wants to reign in the 3rd Temple in the nation of Israel. Do you see?

Since the Temple needs to be completed by April 20, 2016 then it would begin construction 2013 or 2014 in keeping with the Tetrad 1949/50 and 1967/68 just as the next Tetrad is 2014/15. And there won't be another till 2582/83.

whose says he reign in that particular temple?

it could be, but that temple will have an alter and full shabang and the ac will first have a throne there. he is the abomonation of desolation

that has to be cleansed first.

also that isnt mentioned at all. nor is any dialy sacrifice to the lord(as in the old way).

though its hinted at.

first off the blessed city must become the whore of the babylon and also etc.

revalation isnt in chronological order

and how is the temple to be built when the current property is a muslim mosque.

in three yrs that changes?

i wonder who the ac is to you.

and you err on the number

its solomon temple #1
zerubabbel temple #2

that was burned and redone by herod and christ saw that and it was destroyed in 70 a.d.

temple #4 is what you are referring to.

If we do not add anything to the bible the cursing of the fig tree was simply an object lesson to the disciples on practicing faith. None of the NT teachers refered to Israel as the cursed fig tree.
