yes. simple. true. if all the imaginations and thoughts and dreams etc were willingly and joyfully brought subject to Yeshua, it would be as if ACTS happened all over again today (the power of Yhwh present in the faithful, weak and strong believers, all together with one heart and abiding together in union in Yhwh by grace immersed in Yeshua). . . . oh, yeah --- believers in some parts of the world are living like they did in ACTS. in other places, even Yeshua could not do many miracles , just as it is written > Matthew 13:58

I like the version that says, "vain imaginations." Then it says, "that set themselves up against the knowledge of God. You almost get the picture of casting down an idol that is setup against God. Our vain imaginations in our mind that our setup against the knowledge of God can be a form of idolatry in our thinking.
The flesh can fall prey to any thoughts of the imagination when we put worldly things before that of heavenly things. This is why the flesh and Spirit war daily as flesh and Spirit can not mix, just as flesh and blood can not inherit the kingdom of God.
The weapons we use are not human ones. Our weapons have power from God and can destroy the enemy’s strong places. We destroy people’s arguments, and we tear down every proud idea that raises itself against the knowledge of God. We also capture every thought and make it give up and obey Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 ERV
