He said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked I shall return there The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD."

Because God is the creator of everything and because God still forms mankind in His image and furthermore, because the Embryo is the beginning of one more image of God you cannot pretend to be a better Judge than God and murder what He has wrought.

From the Didache: "Do not commit murder; do not commit adultery; do not corrupt boys; do not have illicit sex; do not steal; do not practice magic; do not practice witchcraft; you shall not murder a child, whether it be born or unborn. Do not covet the things of your neighbor."
The Didache (The Teaching of the Twelve) contained the teaching of the apostles and was written at the time of or, possibly, before the New Testament writings as catechisis for new Christians. It was not included in the NT because its' author is unknown.

Abortion has always been seen as murder by the Church.

There is a passage or two in the NT which may explicitly condemn abortion and English translations may have gotten it wrong. I don't have my resource in front of me at the moment but I can post it later if anyone is interested.

This happened before I was born again and it was a whirlwind. I went into the hospital cause I was having pain and they told me the baby was growing in my tube. I was just going with whatever they usually do in those cases.

And some might pass over the Reba's Psalms passage but I will remind all, no scripture will ever be fully understood without the light of all scripture shining upon it and this passage is essential to this study of God's Word.

We should include euthanasia. It goes hand in hand with abortion.

I had an ectopic pregnancy and they had to abort the baby. Was this murder?

Not at all!

Many pregnancies end in spontaneous abortions, and are usually a result of something not right with the baby. Having the pregnancy end was not the desire of the mother, who did nothing to instigate the death of her baby. In these cases, it's not murder

And Jim makes such a great point but I would like to make one more at this time. In the Creation Story we see that God created us in His image but we know from our studies that God is. or at least was, without human form, right up until Jesus came to die on the cross to redeem us unto the Father. And there, unlike Genesis 1,2,& 3, Jesus was birthed by Mary that He might look like us.

Before I get to my point, remember, I wish you not to shed a tear, except maybe in joy. As I have studied these past twenty-six years I have been profusely impressed by the Holy Spirit that mankind is created with much more than a human body, mankind also, before we are birthed are a Spirit Being. It is my belief from my studies that the child you had to abort, and I pray you named it, is not dead!

No, I can almost see that child seated on the spiritual lap of Father God waiting for you and dad to arrive so she can know her mom and dad, first hand. There was/is a Spirit in that embryo the very moment the sperm joined with the egg and that babe is there waiting to love you.

I am so glad you bared your heart here because I know, from experience, that is very hard to do but I would not want you to suffer the way I did before I was finally reached by Father God, that is too much pain for anyone.

The Bible never specifically addresses the issue of abortion. However, there are numerous teachings in Scripture that make it abundantly clear what God’s view of abortion is. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us that God knows us before He forms us in the womb. Psalm 139:13-16 speaks of God’s active role in our creation and formation in the womb. Exodus 21:22-25 prescribes the same penalty—death—for someone who causes the death of a baby in the womb as for someone who commits murder. This clearly indicates that God considers a baby in the womb to be as human as a full-grown adult. For the Christian, abortion is not a matter of a woman’s right to choose. It is a matter of the life or death of a human being made in God’s image (Genesis 1:26-27; 9:6).

The first argument that always arises against the Christian stance on abortion is “What about cases of rape and/or incest?” As horrible as it would be to become pregnant as a result of rape and/or incest, is the murder of a baby the answer? Two wrongs do not make a right. The child who is a result of rape/incest could be given in adoption to a loving family unable to have children on their own, or the child could be raised by its mother. Again, the baby is completely innocent and should not be punished for the evil acts of its father.

The second argument that usually arises against the Christian stance on abortion is “What about when the life of the mother is at risk?” Honestly, this is the most difficult question to answer on the issue of abortion. First, let’s remember that this situation is the reason behind less than one-tenth of one percent of the abortions done in the world today. Far more women have an abortion for convenience than women who have an abortion to save their own lives. Second, let’s remember that God is a God of miracles. He can preserve the life of a mother and a child despite all the medical odds being against it. Ultimately, though, this question can only be decided between a husband, wife, and God. Any couple facing this extremely difficult situation should pray to the Lord for wisdom (James 1:5) as to what He would have them to do.

Watch the whole series. It sheds a whole new light on the Eugenics/Demi-KKK-rat "Reproductive Rights" propaganda.

Wow, I never realized there were that many Bible verse on abortion. I knew there were some but that's a lot.
