A Colonoscopy

Lewis

Member
Well brothers and sisters, this past Thursday, I had a colonoscopy, and it is a good thing that I did, because they found multiple polyps, that could have turned into cancer, but they removed them, I don't have to get another one for 3 years, if you are in your 50's I would suggest that you get a colonoscopy, it could save your life, I am 55. So suppose I did not get one, 2 to 3 years later or sooner, it turned into cancer, and when the cancer started to show it's ugly true colors, it might be to late. So if you are in your 50's get a colonoscopy test, male or female. To many people to count, has died because they did not get one.

Good news for you, Lewis! :clap

Did you have to drink all that barium the night before? I don't know what's worse. Drinking the barium or having the procedure done. :bigfrown

Yeah that stuff was absolutely terrible, and I mean absolutely terrible. I must admit that I needed a good clean out, but that stuff was absolutely terrible.

Ha ha ha Lewis! I had one last year and man I was so tired getting up in the middle of the night running to the rest room :lol

It's funny though, cause I was teaching Exodus the other day at church about the Manna and I was surprised at how quick everyone was to condemn the Israelites over their grumblings, so I mentioned that they had been out for a month and perhaps they ran out of bread and they were hungry. I then asked everyone when the last time they had gone two days without food. Nobody raised their hand. Then I asked who had gone 24 hours without food. Still, nobody had raised their hand.

Lewis, did they have you stop eating 24 hours before your procedure? If so, do you remember the inner drive and the irritability you had that was caused by the hunger pains? If you did, then maybe you could relate to the Israelites ;)

You know, I should start a study on this next week :lol

LOL, I do that now... in my sleep! :lol

I forgot and drank the stuff 12 hours before, but I was blessed because I was able to get to the point where it was all clear fluid. But I have fasted many times, and sometimes for 24, 48. and about once or twice 72 hours. Which gives me a idea that we need to talk about.

Whoa there!! Not gonna have one God willing! :mouthdrop It is rare that a woman has to have a hysterectomy, as they are only for serious problems.
