A Woman's Role Is Never Violating The First Commandment
After the sin of Adam and Eve God judged them both. Eve was told that her desire will be for her husband and he shall rule over her. When God made this pronouncement he set in motion the salvation of mankind through the birth of God's only son Jesus Christ.
Consider that Jesus Christ is God become man therefore when Jesus Christ was in the womb of Mary the 10 Commandments were still valid, especially the first commandment. The very First Commandment states that you shall have no other God before me.
When God judged Eve, and said that her husband shall rule over her, God was preparing the woman to one day carry God's only son Jesus Christ. In the story of Joseph and Mary, Joseph ruled over Mary his wife therefore Mary had no possibility of being her own person, or God.
God recognizes the authority of the man but not the woman for this prevents the woman from ever pursuing the thought that she could ever become like a God, which was what Satan told Eve she would become if she ate the forbidden fruit.
Even though Jesus Christ was in the womb of Mary he was still God become man therefore there can be no violation of the First Commandment. Mary, as a woman, had no authority and no possibility of violating God's first commandment of being a God before God when Jesus was in Mary's womb. If Mary had the same authority as a man then Mary would be a God before God because Jesus Christ would be in the womb of Mary and this would violate the very first commandment.
Many women lament that all authority was taken away from the woman in the Garden of Eden. But God in his infinite wisdom was preparing the woman to carry the infant Jesus which would become mankind's salvation. If a woman had any authority then Jesus, upon being conceived by the Holy Spirit, would instantly violate the first commandment that prohibited having any God before God.
There are other examples of the first commandment being preserved by taking all authority away from man. When the Hebrews were wandering in the wildness they were being guided by a Pillar of Fire and a Pillar of Cloud. The pillars were Jesus Christ and all the Israelites were forced to give up their authority and live a meager life so as to not violate the first commandment which prohibited placing any God (as themselves) before God who was Jesus Christ as the Pillar of Fire and the Pillar of Cloud.
Another example of the first commandment being preserved is where Jesus' disciples lived as the Israelites did in the wilderness with no authority of their own simply so as to not violate the first commandment of not having any God, once again themselves, before God, who was the person of Jesus Christ. All authority rests with Jesus Christ.
Other examples of the First Commandment is our church attendance. Many people say that they don't get anything out of going to church. But we're not suppose to judge church attendance on receiving any benefit. When we go to church we are establishing that we will put no God before God, meaning that the God's we make for ourselves like our job, business, school, recreation, etc. are left behind when we attend church.
Still another example of the First Commandment is our own dress. Consider that we have the indwelling Holy Spirit, who is God, and whenever we dress immodesty, with the goal of glorifying ourselves, we are placing another God before God. Is it any wonder why 'worldly' Christians are always lamenting the lack of peace and serenity in their lives when they surround themselves with self-glorifying materialism that places their 'worldly' Gods (tattoos, other religious beliefs, LGBT, etc.) before God (as in the indwelling Holy Spirit) which continually violates the very First Commandment.
It is clear that in the Garden of Eden, when God judged Adam and Eve, he was preparing mankind to receive his only son Jesus Christ, who would be God become man, to ultimately die on the cross as a substitute for all of mankind's sins. Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and you'll receive forgiveness of all of your sins and rest assured that upon death you'll receive eternal life with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit.
God Bless
