Things are different now. Far more divorce, drug use and abuse, acceptance of sin and such. At the same time...
...genuine, repentant believers have always been around. I get the sense that there never really have been that many true Christians. Maybe there are fewer now. Maybe we just have fewer people claiming Christ, since its no longer required to go to church ever Sunday to be respectable. Who knows?
Megachurches and such may not be the godliest places ever, but dead churches have been around forever. Trust me, I grew up liberal Presbyterian.
