Animals in heaven. What do you think.

I just have two quick questions about animals and the new earth.

1. Do you think there will be animals on the new Earth?

2.Do you think animals, including our pets will be resurrected to live on the new Earth?

I personally think God would resurrect animals on this earth because of what Romans 8:19-23 says:

19For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. 20Against its will, everything on earth was subjected to God's curse. 21All creation anticipates the day when it will join God's children in glorious freedom from death and decay. 22For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23And even we Christians, although we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, also groan to be released from pain and suffering.

All creation would include animals. so why would they eagerly await for the lord to return if they were not going to be a part of the resurrection?

But I would like to know what yall think?

How could it be heaven without my favorite animals. I don't know how heaven could be heaven without barbequed Pork ribs!!!! :D

Well, since there will be a huge barbeque of sorts going on in hell all you'll need is the pig and a long skewer! :-D

I don't know the answer to this question. I don't believe in the Ressurection of the Body anyway, so if animals are in heaven they would have to be transformed into Spiritual Beings.

Why do the graves open up at the resurrection if the body isn't resurrected and changed into a new body? Are you a gnostic or universalist?

When I don't know something, I don't know it. I'm not going to fake it. I don't understand everything about the millennial kingdom and all that but I do believe that the final result of humanity will be spirit. All I know is that:

1 Corinthians 15:44 (King James Version) It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

And I am Christian Universalist. I don't believe that all religions are equally valid.

you're hard to figure out, Gendou......

Yeah, I know :-D I just try and follow whatever I see in the Scriptures and I am discovering new things all the time.

Where is Jesus' Body? His Body was resurrected. What is the difference between a resurrected body and a spiritual body?
Did Jesus show Thomas his fleshly wounds after his resurrection? Is Jesus coming back in his resurrected body?

I can't give you the answer to all of your questions but I can give you Scripture.

1 Corinthians 15:45 (King James Version) And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

And what is Spirit? Glad you asked. :-D

John 3:8 (King James Version) The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Oh my goodness! LOL

Lev 11:7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.
Lev 11:8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.

:-D

;-)

I can't say that I've seen a goat that has been saved. So, no. No animals in heaven.

Matthew 6:9-13
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Verse 10 speaks for itself.

Whatever good that is on earth is and was first created in heaven.

God created the animals so therefore, Animals are in heaven.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

.

I know that this is off topic but I couldn't resist.

1 Timothy 2:4 (King James Version) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Matthew 6:10 (King James Version) Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

I think those verses speak for themselves. :-D

Gendou,

I like your style....

You admit to not knowing all the answers and seek God in humbleness and with an open heart.

I agree with many of your conclusions as well.

7 And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat. 8 But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth. 9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. Acts 11:7-9

14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. Romans 14:14

 Oy! Here we go again...

Acts 11 was not about clean and unclean meats but about Jews' (particularily Peter's views) towards the Gentiles. He used what Peter knew to hit the point home about his disdain for calling them unclean. (Notice that this man, post-Christ/post-New Covenant, who walked with Christ and spent 40 days with him AFTER the new covenant was instituted still followed the health laws). So do you eat the crow, the hag-fish and the sea cucumber too? Are those perfectly fine? Why not human flesh. Man is a mammal and created by God as well.

Romans 14 isn't talking about clean and unclean meats of Leviticus 23, for the term used in Romans is 'koinos' and not 'athakartos' which is the designated Greek term for the clean and unclean meats spoken of in the Septuagint. The issue here was 'contaminated' foods offered to idols.

Another SDA cultic doctrine! At least you are consistant.

And he [Jesus] called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Matthew 15:10-11

The Jewish were regulated by the Law given them by Moses, while the Gentiles were not under the Law. Paul explains that if a brother will stumble because they are convinced that eating pork is unclean, then do not eat in front of them. If eating meat given to idols will cause one to stumble then do not eat in front of those that will stumble in their obedience to the Lord. It isn't the meat that defiles a person, it is what comes out of their mouth such as false doctrines.
