Every major denomination (Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant) in Christendom professes God the Son is omnipresent.
"Amillennialism" is not a red herring. It's a doctrine taught by "every major denomination" you mentioned, that Christ has "symbolically" returned at 70AD, from there on he's ruling in heaven, all prophecies have been fulfilled, his kingdom is already established, and it covers the whole earth, therefore it's "omnipresent". That's a false doctrine, the second coming is the Lord's bodily return on Mount Olive as a conquering king, that hasn't happened yet. And since it hasn't happened yet, his kingdom is not omnipresent yet.

Such Evasions are embarrassing. Far better to study what Christians believe about the Holy Trinity, than misrepresent it.

It is written:

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Tim. 2:15 KJV)

What's really embarrasing is your false interpretation of Matt. 18:20. It's the emporer's new clothes, that supposedly only the intelligent, qualified persons can see it, when in fact there's no such thing.

I've shown that aionios doesn't mean eternal or forever.

It can refer to an age that ends, but the phrase "ages of ages" in Revelation 11:15 says Christ's Kingdom is "forever". Therefore, it means "forever" in Revelation 20:10 also.

καὶ βασανισθήσονται ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτὸς εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων. (Rev. 20:10 BYZ)
and they shall be tormented, day and night, unto the ages of ages. (Rev. 20:10 ROT)

(Rev. 11:15 BYZ)
The kingdom of the world, hath become [the kingdom] of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign unto the ages of ages. (Rev. 11:15 ROT)

Confirming "forever" is meant, "day and night" means "unceasing" requiring the torment be "forever" or it would "cease."

Butch5
Not to mention that Revelation is a book of symbolism. Any passage you post from Revelation would need to be established as literal and figurative.

The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. (Rev. 20:10 NKJ)

The "lake of fire" is figurative for the "second death" (Rev. 20:14),which means it is the "death from which no resurrection occurs in scripture."

Therefore, anything (Death, Hades) or anyone cast into the "Lake of Fire" will never return.

The Devil, Beast and False Prophet are literal persons, therefore their suffering the "second death" literally means they will never return. They remain conscious of their surroundings because scripture testifies their "torment" is "unceasing", "day and night forever and ever".

The symbolism of being cast into a "Lake of Fire" refers to a torment that is like being submerged in fire.

Butch5
Then the passage you quote from Mark is speaking of dead bodies burning, not living people. You read into the text what isn't there.

If Gehenna were a place of annihilation, then drowning in the sea would NOT be better.

"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. (Mk. 9:42 NKJ)

Butch5
The passage says the fire is not quenched. It doesn't say it won't go out.

Nothing quenches Gehenna fire, even time won't put it out.

Butch5
What in the world the worm has to do with whether or not the people are eternal is beyond me.

These resurrected bodies of the wicked once conveyed sinful pleasure to wicked souls. Now they convey the torment of being "eaten alive" by undying worms and "burning in unquenchable fire".

Butch5
Even if the fire didn't go out, it doesn't necessitate that people burn forever. a fire burns up its fuel. The fuel doesn't just burn forever.

Just as a stone can burn forever in fire, so also can the wicked burn forever:

20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, When it cannot rest, Whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
21 "There is no peace," Says my God, "for the wicked. (Isa. 57:20-21 NKJ)

Therefore, your teaching Satan, the False Prophet and the Beast will have eternal peace, is wrong according to the scriptures.

It is written, those who walk in light of their own making, will lie down in torment:

Look, all you who kindle a fire, Who encircle yourselves with sparks: Walk in the light of your fire and in the sparks you have kindled-- This you shall have from My hand: You shall lie down in torment. (Isa. 50:11 NKJ)
Well how do you read these verses..
Luke 17:29
But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

2 Peter 2:6
And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

Their souls are in Hades waiting for the Resurrection on Judgment Day, when they will appear before the great white throne of Christ to see if their names are in the book of life, and if not they will die the second death in the Lake of Fire:

"Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city! (Matt. 10:15 NKJ)

28 "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice
29 "and come forth-- those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. (Jn. 5:28-29 NKJ)

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

They are dust in the grave as the Bible tells and death and the grave will end at the lake of fire..

Christians should not be following anything Pagan.
Who knew?!
Raised in pagan knowledge, pagan countries, pagan cultures, pagan education systems, pagan political systems, pagan mecidal system, pagan families, who can know ?

'Hades' is a mistranslation of the Hebrew Sheol, the grave, so they are dust in the ground, waiting on the resurrection..

The Septuagint mistranslated? Their translation proves they knew Hebrew and Greek.
They thought Sheol was the Hades and Hell in Greek as that was their word for under the ground in their view of the underworld, but the Hebrew word was the grave.

Abraham was "gathered to his people" before he was buried in a grave:

8 Then Abraham breathed his last and died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people.
9 And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite,
10 the field which Abraham purchased from the sons of Heth. There Abraham was buried, and Sarah his wife. (Gen. 25:8-10 NKJ)

So also angels gathered Lazarus to his people, but the Rich Man sunk down into Hades/Sheol, into torments:

22 "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
23 "And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 "Then he cried and said,`Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.' (Lk. 16:22-24 NKJ)

This strongly suggests/states a continuous awareness of torment. So, if God can annihilate spirit He does not appear to do so. I would state anyone consigned to the lake of fire forever is in a destroyed state. A 2nd death.
Rev 14
A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, 10they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” 12This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.

No, I'm suggesting the Bible destroys the Eternal Conscious Torment doctrine.
Oh? How?

Explain Rev 20:10 and Luke 16:24-26 . It is vain & naive to assume that the Bible ""destroys"" the Eternal Conscious Torment truth.

Annaihilatiosnism is a feel good willy nilly comfort story. Ever wonder why popular among nonChristians that "lake of fire is cool"?? Same reason Annialationism exists. To make people beLIEve they'll have a happy painless eternity instead of paying for their sin.

Please prove how eternal nothingess is just. As in justice. No annialaionist can do so. Because Annialationism is a SAND belief, not rock belief.
