Hey guys,

Thought I'd introduce myself. I havent had a good religious discussion in a while and I was looking for the opportunity to hear other views and to share my own.

I am LDS (Mormon) and got back from my mission a bit over a year ago. One thing I learned while serving in Boston, MA was that religion is there to help people, not to bash their heads in.

Sometimes people werent ready for what I had to say and all I could do was to share a scripture with them.

And if I was able to make someone happier, bring them closer to Christ, or even just make them think a little harder about God, then I was serving my purpose.

I also learned that tolerance is much better than contention. fighting with people over religion is no way to help one another learn.

It is in this same spirit that I come here, hoping to share with everyone.

As the Savior said,

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (Matt 18:20)
