Another Refugee From...

Just kidding. I wasn't kicked from those forums. Yet. However I made some friends there who invited me over here because they said you had cookies.

Typically I comment on politics, current events, and a particular sub-genre of religion. Over time I suppose that will become clear. I like a good debate. But I don't like candy corn.

Hello to all, and in particular my fellow travelers from that other place.

Hello and Welcome:wave

Welcome Sistrin.
Why would you seek refuge from that other place? What one is that if you don't mind? So that others of us can avoid the experience you suffered?

Thank you.

I am not really seeking refuge from CF dot com. That comment was meant as an inside joke for my fellow former members of the Admiralty, a group we once belonged to. As for the other Christian Forums, the place is manageable. We just found it dominated by atheist, and therefore an anachronism.

I'd say so.
I'm surprised such would be allowed to continue by the powers that be there. Welcome welcome then. No such domination here. :woot2Weird dancers, but that's about it.

hello Sistrin, dirtfarmer here

Welcome. You know Jesus is a time traveler!!!!

hello JohnDB, dirtfarmer here

You may call it "gingerbread houses", but I would call it "sugar overload"!!!!
Well,
In my recollections about Christmas past I really don't remember the presents as well as the things that we do as a family to get ready for the holiday. Those actions are my favorite...as well as for others.

So things like decorating trees and gingerbread houses are memories that last a lifetime. It's a gift that never breaks or becomes obsolete.

And that thought about all that money and debt that people incur....when really all the kids want is happy times with adults and parents keeps me making them year after year.

hello JohnDB, dirtfarmer here

At what age do kids become aware of the presents and not the package that they come in?

When we enter that age, it last for awhile, but then as you begin to age(mature), it's the memories that become precious and not the contents of a package.

How we learn too late in life what is most important.

Happy Thanksgiving
